About the Author

Christine des Garennes and her husband have embarked on numerous romantic getaways throughout Wisconsin, including camping in the Kettle Moraine Forest during the springtime, driving along the Great River Road in midsummer, watching a Shakespeare play under the stars in Spring Green during the fall, and celebrating New Year's Eve in Door County. She is the author of Great Little Museums of the Midwest, also published by Trails Books and works as a reporter for a daily newspaper.
