I found this video informative, and fairly balanced. Roald Dahl as a person and a writer was certainly a complex soul, who appeared always to have inner demons and angels wrestling for control. It is an interesting dichotomy that someone who wrote so many wonderful childrens' stories was, at the same time, a man of whom a parent should be wary of had their children been actually exposed to him. The video successfully depicted these contrasts to a point, although it was clearly from a pro-Dahl point of view. Although, his conflicts with three of his children is mentioned, only the opinions of the single child still favorably disposed to him is presented. This video certainly is not a definitive work, but it is an easy way to get a basic primer into the author and man who was Roald Dahl.
