A great little garage album,
By Huck Finn "H Finn" (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Greatest Hits 84-87 (Expanded Edition) (Audio CD)
The album begins with a crushing power chord followed by happy, moog heavy, pop that lasts the rest of the album. Reggie and friends sing moving tales of girlfriends lost and girlfriends running away and more girlfriends running away - are they thumbing their noses at pop conventions or revelling in them? At any rate, it's hard not to like this album. I even enjoy the numerous ridiculous interludes.
If you take this album too seriously, you might not like it. But if you enjoy it for what it is, two guys in a garage goofing around with a moog synthesizer and a guitar, it will win you over with it's disarmingly peppy poppy nonsense.

Awesome Band,

Reggie and the full effect are incredible. If you like punk and emo, and will love reggie. I saw them in concert back in December, and they rocked. That is what prompted me to buy the album, and it doesn't disappont. I can't wait to see them again on March 11th.

Would be a great CD if not for all the interludes,

Great music here, no question about it. A slightly faster Get Up Kids. The only problem here, is there are more un wanted interludes than an Eminem CD, and there just not funny.
