The compressed history follows Bradley from North Africa through Europe, including Operations Torch, Huskey, Avalanche, Normandy, Anvil-Dragoon, Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge, invasion of Germany and war's end. Bradley's relationship with his commanders, George S. Patton, Courtney H. Hodges, Leonard T. Gerow, William H. Simpson, and General Dwitht D. Eisenhower are observed.

About the Author
Dale Greenwell served six years with the U. S. Army Security Agency in Japan and assignments with the American Embassy in Iran and Vietnam. He taught anthropology at the University of Southern Mississippi-Gulf Park and authored three books based on history. He is a freelance journalist and has contributed to journals and magazines and has had weekly columns on history and culture for more than 20 years in newspapers.

This is a great addition to anyone's book collection. It contains never before photographs from General Omar Bradley's WWII private collection. It is well written and full of information. The photographs are of the highest quality and reveal many never before seen views of the war.
