This review is from: Greatest Generation Anecdotes: Anecdotes, Epigrams and Like Episodes in the Context of the Ww II Era (Paperback)
The book is different in that it tells much of the irony rather than of the hell of war. Much of the work is in the form of anecdotes, epigrams and like episodes in the context of the WW II era. It reads as though it is by somebody who lived and knows what he's writing about, serving as a court reporter and with the Army Field Historical Section in WW II in Ireland England, Wales, Scotland, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. In its own way it reminded a little of "Tales Of The South Pacific." |
