Recently, I attended the 2002 Hampton Jazz Festival. The shows included Patti Labelle, Tina Marie and of course Stephanie. Stephanie blew away everyone. Tina and Patti were excellent, but Stephanie was the one with the heavenly voice! I maintained that Patti was the best female singer of all time - until Ms. Stephanie graced us with hear blessed pipes. I take my hat off to Ms. Stephanie. Today with fabrcated music - here is what a True DIVA should sound like...... The CD is a must....

This woman is a true talent it is a pure shame how she is not recognized and revered like she should be. This just shows you the shallowness of the entertaiment industry.

What can you say. This woman just puts her all in her singing. When I think of Stephanie, I think of soul, feeling, and yes true singing. No computers here people. If you want to hear true singing with passion, meaning, and feeling, You have to pick this up ! You will not be dissapointed !

This album like each of her others is great. Stephanie has a voice that will send chills up your spine and send your mind into the words of the song. You wouldn't imagine such a big sound coming from such a small person (she's only as tall as prince maybe shorter) but with her music you will not be disappointed.

I am pleased with this my purchase and the timeframe of me receiving it at my home. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Stephanie Mills at her absolute best! Well worth the money for the original recordings. For any collector of good R&B.

Since I was very young I've been hooked on Stephanie Mills. She has certaintly stood the test of time and what a powerhouse set of vocals! This is a great set of her hits, except it is missing The Medicine Song, but I'll forgive. Anyone catch the similarities with Melinda Doolittle (from American Idol) and Stephanie? Paula did!

Stephanie Mills is by far the greatest soul artist in the world. Why? must you ask because where can you find a soulful voice none other than Patti Labelle Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick. MCA now releases the first part of Stephanie Mills MCA years. Not only do you get the Angela Winbush produced I learned to respect{The power of love} from Stephanie's self-titled 1985 MCA debut and the song Home from Stephanie's 1989 album of the same name. This cd also includes the fun Bit By Bit Stephanie's top hit and the theme song to the Chevy Chase comedy Fletch {This is a short remix of this song but if you want the extended version get the Fletch soundtrack which is now out of print} Get this collection if you can and see for yourself a diva with lots of soul. I would also recommend any cd by Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley especially her out of print Chapters if you want to hear a voice like Stephanie Mills and also Stephanie's recent gospel album...
