I BOUGHT THIS CD FOR THE 'ROCKIN' SIDE OF FRANKIE. IT MENTIONS THAT THEY ARE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS.THEY'RE NOT. IT'S THE ORIGINAL ALBUM BUT THEY ARE REMAKES DONE IN THE 50'S. THOSE TUNES WERE ORIGINALLY DONE IN THE 40'S.

THE ORIGINAL 40'S RECORDINGS HAD FRANKIE'S MUSIC PARTNER CARL FISCHER'S GREAT SWINGIN' JAZZ GROUP BACKING HIM UP. VIBES,TENOR SAX ETC.
I JUST ORDERED;"THE MERCURY YEAR'S" WHICH I SHOULD HAVE DONE TO BEGIN WITH.

THE "BIG HIT'S" SECTION ARE THE ORIGINAL'S THOUGH, AND GREAT TO LISTEN TO. P.S. Please check my "Mercury Years" (Frankie Laine)
review. That CD is a FANTASTIC CLASSIC!!!! It's like the first solo Crosby/Elvis/Chet Baker recordings. They will never top those tracks, EVER!!!!

THIS IS A GREAT MUSIC CD. FRANKIE LAINE WAS A TOP ARTIST OF THE 50'S & 60"S. THIS CD COVERS ALL THE DIFFERENT SONGS HE IS ABLE TO SING OUTSTANDINGLY. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR ANY ONE WHO APPRECIATES GOOD MUSIC SUNG BY A PERSON WITH A WONDERFUL VOICE.

This CD of Frankie Laine's greatest Original 40 his was exactly what I was looking for. Totally pleased and satisfied with the service and the product itself.

This album brings back memories and I really enjoy listining to Frankie Laine, a unique singer.
