I love this CD but I also know that the identical item has been issued under the title "Ambrosia - Anthology" (same 16 song track listing - same cover art minus the "Greatest Hits" banner). As "Ambrosia - Anthology" it is always available on Amazon for around $7.00 (often less if buying from a 2nd party seller). If you're a fan of Ambrosia then do yourself a favor and check it out (and buy it) under the alternate title - you won't be sorry.

What can I say, I owned this record when I was a kid. I recommend tjis for any CD collection especially if you love 70's music. It has a very layed back sound.

Ambrosia is really a great group and I'm glad I was able to get one of their "greatest hits" cd's. They have a truly unique sound that I have always enjoyed. I love this cd!

I have been listening to ambrosia since the early eighties and have always loved them. They have great voices and such feeling when they sing. I still get teary eyed when I listen to them.

The is an excellent collection of hits from Ambrosia. If you are a fan of their earlier prog rock albums, then you will surely prefer to buy the albums, which have been remastered. Those albums are not well represented here. If you are a casual fan who likes the songs of theirs that you've heard on the radio, then you're looking at the right cd to buy.

Ambrosia started their career with Artsy prog-rock and later changed their sound to a more mainstream r&b/rock sound. There are still some art-rock moments such as Life Beyond LA; Nice, Nice, Very Nice; Time Waits For No One; I am personally a fan of their later sound. I've always loved their Holy Trinity of ballads: You're The Only Woman, How Much I Feel and Biggest Part Of Me. Even in their more commercial sound they retained enough of an art rock aesthetic to separate them from other soft rock acts. The vocals are amongst the best you'll ever hear and the lesser known songs on this collection are also of a very high quality.

There are also 3 new songs on this compilation including the excellent I Just Can't Let Go, featuring Michael McDonald and James Ingram on background vocals. The song isn't quite as good as their other ballads but it's a worthy addition and even became a minor hit. With background vocalists of that caliber you can bet that the vocals are smooth as silk.

Highly Recommended for all fans of soft rock with an artsy edge.

I got introduced to Ambrosia back during the "Life beyond LA" years and was very taken with both the lyrics and musicality of this band. Creative and very nice to listen to. I often find myself going back to listen to them again and again. Still enjoy & hope you do too?
