4.0 out of 5 stars "Greatest Hits" and then some
"Greatest Hits" is a nice package and is a great introduction to, IMO, the best hip-hop group in history. Almost all of their songs that were released as singles or videos are included (from 1994's "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" to 2003's "Home", with the odd exception of "If I Could Teach The World"), plus a slew of other material.

Also included are one solo song...

3.0 out of 5 stars Bone Thugs - N - Harmony Greatest Hits? Not Really.
I am a long time Bone fan and own most of there albums and I was a little bit dissapointed the way this greatest hits cd was put together. It has some of there best music but a hand full of tracks should be replaced with way better songs than the ones they have. I would have given this album 5 stars if it wasnt for so many worthless songs especially from the dissapointing...

4.0 out of 5 stars "Greatest Hits" and then some, February 14, 2005
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
"Greatest Hits" is a nice package and is a great introduction to, IMO, the best hip-hop group in history. Almost all of their songs that were released as singles or videos are included (from 1994's "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" to 2003's "Home", with the odd exception of "If I Could Teach The World"), plus a slew of other material.

Also included are one solo song from each member, two interludes (actually short songs), some of Bone's more well known guest appearences ("Breakdown" with Mariah Carey, "Notorious Thugs" with Notorious B.I.G), a slew of some of the more well-known non-single Bone songs ("Thug Luv" with 2Pac, "Ecstacy", "Shoot 'Em Up") as well as some singles from the Bone offshoot group the Mo Thugs Family.

Some choices make you scratch your head, though, such as the mediocre "Get'cha Thugon", which was included simply so the album could have a solo song by each member of the group (and that's the only solo song Wish Bone has been released). Also, as most Bone fans will tell you, the single choices by Ruthless Records got kind of odd after E. 1999 Eternal - focusing more on the more commercial "Crossroads"-esque songs than the harder songs - and thus this collection reflects that. I think there are many better songs on the last three albums than are represented here. The songs here are still very good though.

Anyway, it's still a great introduction to Bone. I'd advise you pick up the albums too, as there's a lot of great material and a side of Bone that isn't really represented here.

Here's the chart info for the songs on the album:

Thuggish Ruggish Bone - #22 Pop
Foe The Luv Of Money - #41 Pop
First Of Tha Month - #14 Pop
Tha Crossroads - #1 Pop
Look Into My Eyes - #4 Pop
Ghetto Cowboy - #15 Pop
Home - #19 Pop (UK), #25 Rhythmic (US)
Dayz Of Our Livez - #5 Rhythmic
Resurrection - #23 Rhythmic
All Good - #20 Rhythmic
Thug Mentality - #28 Rhythmic

All the other songs did either not chart (a few) or were never released as singles (most).

3.0 out of 5 stars Bone Thugs - N - Harmony Greatest Hits? Not Really., January 21, 2005

I am a long time Bone fan and own most of there albums and I was a little bit dissapointed the way this greatest hits cd was put together. It has some of there best music but a hand full of tracks should be replaced with way better songs than the ones they have. I would have given this album 5 stars if it wasnt for so many worthless songs especially from the dissapointing Thug World Order album, which is bones worst album ever. Tracks like 1. Carol Of The Bones, 5. Shoot 'Em Up, 12. All Good, 14. Blaze It, 15. Get 'Cha Thug On, 20. Still The Greatest (Featuring Big Chan), 21. Get Up & Get It (Featuring 3LW and Felicia), 22. Money, Money, 23. Ghetto Cowboy, 26. Cleveland In The City (Featuring Avant) are all songs that do not deserve to be here. If I was the person making this greatest hits cd I would put only the best bone songs. So without further a do I will make a list below of the best bone songs and replace the songs mentioned above with better tracks.

Tha Realest Bone Thugs - N - Harmony Greatest Hits
1. Intro (from there 1st album)= *Much Better Intro*
2. Thuggish Ruggish Bone
3. No Surrender
4. Down Foe My Thang
5. Creepin on Ah Come Up
6. Foe tha Love of $
7. East 1999
8. Eternal
9. Crept and We Came
10.Tha Crossroads
11.1st of Tha Month
12.Buddah Lovaz
13.Mo Murda
14.Look into My Eyes
15.If I Could Teach the World
16.Thug Luv feat. 2-Pac
17.Thugz Cry
18.Thug Mentality
19.Days of Our Livez
20.Notorious Thugs feat. Notorious Big
21.Ecstasy
22.Resurrection (Paper, Paper)
23.Weed Song
24.Change the World feat. Big-B
25.Weedman
26.Home feat. Phil Collins

*If there was more space i would have put Da Introduction from the E.1999/Eternal album.*

That right there is the best 26 Bone Thugs - N - Harmony songs and is a much better Greatest Hits album than the one released.

If you have most of BTNH albums then dont waste your money on this Greatest Hits cause it really isnt there best stuff. Its a good cd for people who dont know anything about Bone and only know about there famous hit single Tha Crossroads.Other than that I suggest to gather up all your BTNH cds and burn your favorite songs onto a blank (*its legal if you own the original*)or follow my list above to make your own better version of the BTNH Greatest Hits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bone Thugs the best in the game!!!!, April 3, 2006
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Yo before I review this album, I only got to say one thing. BONE THUGS N HARMONY IS THE BEST RAP GROUP EVER TO BE IN THE GAME. I listened to them since I was 6 years old. I play all day, everyday, 24/7/365. They Thuggish Ruggish til' the day they die. Now back to the greatest hits, they have a lot of great collections of song on this album, the classic "Crossroads (from E. 1999) (sampled from Isley Brothers "Make Me Say It Again"), "Look Into My Eyez", "Foe The Love Of $", "1st of da Month", and etc. But my favorite song on that whole Greatest Hits is "Money, Money". This has been in my CD player since I first bought it. I can't wait till their new album come out in summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatness?, February 24, 2006
By
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
the album has been playing in my car and my cd player none stop since i bought this album... the word greatness comes to mind when you think of the Bones, but nothing makes you want them to get back together more then jamming to there tracks...Devilish Beats and Collabs...and the best part for me you dont hear a single reference to Ice, Cars on 20's, or how much money they claim...Bone At there 'Wicked Best'...Cop this album if you dont have it...Steal it if you cant afford it..... This album has to be atleast next to the Art of War and E 1999 and if you dont agree you Aint A Bone Thug...

BTNH...The End Aint Near>>>

5.0 out of 5 stars Supporting BTNH, August 8, 2005
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
In response to the review below, you ARE supporting BTNH by purchasing this album. Ruthless Records is still going strong and of course the Bone Thugs are getting paid for each record sold. This is a great, great album and a great introduction to the music of the Bone Thugs for those who haven't yet been exposed.

5.0 out of 5 stars TRULY A GREAT COMPILATION, April 28, 2006
By
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
THIS ALBUM IS OFF THE HOOK!!!! I have to give it up for Bone Thugs and Tomica Wright (who is an executive producer on the album). A lot of people come out with trashy hits album, that are just thrown together for money. I may only be 16, but trust me I know. This is the exact opposite. It has 26 songs, and is a 2-disc. All real hardcore Bone Thugs fans, like me, must have this album. It has "Tha Crossroads", "Look Into My Eyes", "Thug Luv", and every song that has been a major hit for them. No song is missing. Bone Thugs are just so ORGINAL, TALENTED, and everything that rappers should be. It is worth every bit of your 13 or 14 dollars, or however much cds cost at your local music carrier stores. It's Bone Thugs, so you know you can't go wrong.
