This is without a doubt the GREATEST. I have loved all these songs for a long time. Now that the old records are out of date, I am happy that this came along.

All the songs on this package are winners, I promise you. I followed Charlie Rich's career from the days his wife Margaret used to drive his tapes into Memphis from Arkansas. She wrote "Life Has Its Little Ups and Downs" included here. The rest of the tunes are generally of his "countrypolian" years. But this is not a definitive compilation. You have a long way to go to have a real history and full understanding of his talent if this is your only purchase.

The cd could have been better..it just wasn't what I had expected, but it did have a few songs on it that I wanted & enjoy. The delivery service was exteremely excellent! Thanks Amazon! Lori

All through the 70's I listened to Charlie Rich. This bring back such memories!! Country was country and not complicated. Just pure and simple.

BOY, WHAT MEMORIES THE SONGS SANG BY THIS "SILVER FOX" BRINGS BACK. BACK IN THE EIGHTIES SOMEONE PACKAGED A "CHARLIE RICH" COLLECTION WHICH FEATURED TWO OF HIS ALBUMS. I'M SURE THIS ONE WAS ONE OF THEM. I'M JUST NOT SURE ABOUT THE SECOND ONE. ONE ALBUM WAS ON ONE SIDE. THEN THE TAPE HAD TO BE FLIPPED OVER FOR THE SESOND ALBUM. THAT WAS A PRETTY NEAT DEAL AT THE TIME. AND I PLAYED THAT CASSETE TAPE TO DEATH. THE THING THAT HAS AGGRAVATED ME OVER THE YEARS IS HOW "CHARLIE RICH" HAS BEEN MARKETED. I HAVE NOT SEEN MUCH OF A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT I HAVE BOUGHT AND WHAT HAS BEEN OFFERED. BE CAREFUL, BECAUSE YOU MAY WIND UP DUPLICATING WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE, THINKING THAT YOU ARE GETTING SOMETHING DIFFERENT BECAUSE OF A "SLANT" ON THE TITLE. OTHERWISE, THIS IS A FANTASTIC ALBUM. THE FIRST SONG I EVER HEARD WAS "THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL". THAT SONG HAS STUCK WITH ME ALL THESE YEARS. WHEN I BOUGHT THE DOUBLE-ALBUM CASSETTE, THE ONLY OTHER SONG I RECALL EVER HEARING WAS "BEHIND CLOSED DOORS". EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FRESH TO ME. I AM GIVING THIS ALBUM FIVE STARS FOR THE PRICE AND THE QUALITY OF THE MUSIC. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A FANTASTIC ALBUM. BUY IT TODAY. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for Mom. The CD plays well and I was glad to have received it promptly. Great music!!

I m not a big Charlie Rich fan, but this was a pretty good CD.

I'm getting a new CD for my aunt,uncle & my cousins for christmas this year and one for Victoria & Shasha Reyes for their gift from me.

Life Has It's Little Ups and Downs is worth the price of this collection.
