1.0 out of 5 stars Watch out - Not exactly Greatest Hits!, August 11, 2005
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
If you read the tracklisting, you'll notice right away that all of the songs on this so-called greatest-hits album are taken from Nate Dogg's debut album "G-Funk Classics vol. 1&2" that was released in 1998. What about a few songs from Nate's second album - "Music and me"?... And more important - What about some of the unforettable guest appearences he's dropped on albums by artists like 2Pac,Dr. Dre, Snoop and the whole DPG Posse, Ludacris, Fabulous and just about every succesful rapper these days?... So, I don't know what's the deal with this album - who's releasing it, and why is it called greatest hits... I LOVE Nate Dogg's music, the man has undeniable talent, but this IS NOT a Greatest Hits album, so save your money for the real thing. Hey, even the album cover looks kinda corny and cheap!... I'm not even sure Nate Dogg himself has any control over this album...

5.0 out of 5 stars AREN'T THESE THE SAME AS OFF OF G-FUNK CLASSICS VOL. 1&2?, April 23, 2006
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
I AM A HUGE NATE DOGG FAN, BUT THESE ARE SONGS OFF OF HIS G-FUNK CLASSICS VOL.1&2. SOME OF THESE SONGS AREN'T THAT SPECIAL ENOUGH TO PUT ON A GREATEST HITS ALBUM. I MEAN I CAN SEE HOW SOME OF THEM MADE IT ON, BUT THESE ARE ALL THE SAME SONGS, ON HIS MULTIPLE ALBUMS, AND "AND FRIENDS" ALBUM.
IS NATE DOGG SEING THAT HE CAN'T MAKE IT ON HIS OWN? HE NEEDS 5 BEST OF, OR GREATEST HITS ALBUMS? THIS GUY IS HIGH CALIBER, SO WHY IS HE PLACING NOT WORTHY SONGS ON AN ALBUM, THAT SHOULD HAVE SONGS WAY BETTER. COME ON!
I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THE CHOICES. MAKE THE OLD ALBUMS NATE, AND DON'T SELL OUT PLEASE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nate D O Double Gee Zies, September 18, 2005
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Yo Yo Yo this album is slammin' like pogs and pounders yo. If Your a fan of Nate Dogg, Snoop, Tray Dee, Kurupt, Daz, Bad A$$, or eveb Soopa-Dupa-Fly, you gotta get this album. This album is on one of my top 5 DPG Cd Collection with a bunch of songs that are rare you can not go wrong with this one bro! All of the tracks on this album are under ground thats why it is being brought to you by K-Town aka Korea Town records. I think all of these tracks were recorded when Nate D O Double G-Zie was over seas on tour...This album is a RARE, if u find it at The WHEREHOUSE OR TOWERS ROCERDS THEN PROVE ME WRONG! Other wise quit hattin...
