5.0 out of 5 stars This is great!
I love the Spice Girls but I didnt get to see them on their reunion tour. Thankfully this CD made it a little better, it contains almost all their best known songs plus 2 brand new ones. I love HEADLINES although it did take alot of listens for me to really get use to it. Voo Doo is good also, it is pretty old school Spice Girls. Awesome CD!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent but a bit of a let down for a spice girls fanatic!! B-
Okay so if you're a fanatic you bought the singles. So for 2 becomes 1 you get the version with Posh singing that bit instead of Geri (less politcally correct version about "boys and girls look good together" vs Posh's "love will bring us back together". I still don't get what was redone/mixed with my favorite "Spice Up your Life" song. I wish they did an extended intro...

"Never Give Up On The Good Times" instead of "Viva Forever", but other than that, this pretty much covers it.

Okay so if you're a fanatic you bought the singles. I still don't get what was redone/mixed with my favorite "Spice Up your Life" song. I wish they did an extended intro like from the movie!!! Who Do You think you are is the video version where the ending (Mel C's chant) is shorter which is AWESOME. I wish Holler was the extended version or video version. Goodbye the intro is shorter i guess like the video. Say You'll Be There" I think that was pretty much the same, I was hoping they'd do the alternate opening they did on the Istanbul concert/Mtv concert

A plus is they did 2 songs where most reunion cds only had one new single. I wish there was a video for Voodoo

As far as the picture book, not much NEW PICTURES. Again as a fanatic i've seen most of the picture (in the tour program, in official books or photos) so that was kind of a let down. I guess that's a legal thing b/c I'd have decided to use a different picture from a photo session. Like sometimes you'd see the picture of them sitting on the floor sofa (released poster) and the alternate pose is on the official book. But i'd have used another picture from that roll.

oh well.

OH AND I'M PISSED THEY'RE NOT RELEASING THE DVD CONCERT. THEY SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST DONE LIKE THE LAST TOUR AND RELEASED IT ON TV!!!!! It was the BEST REUNION CONCERT I'VE SEEN. Trumping Michael Jackson's/Jacksons even. Most groups just get onstage and just sing the old "hits." Spice Girls had costumes (some trademarked from the 90s era like Geri's Union Jack dress!!!! awesome and sometimes similar choreography. And the look was similar. Posh changed her updated blonde bob back to a dark color.

oh and did you see the Christmas commercial!!! the BEST. ANd the Victoria Secret fashion show performance!!!! most groups don't do that!!!! I.E. New kids on the block (what's up with that!!! i wanna see the 90s look for reminiscance. I'm glad Michael Jackson still wears the glove and black jacket for billie jean. Could you imagine him not dooing the choreography with the costume? NO WAY So Props to Spice Girls for this, i wished they'd release the concert though........

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, December 7, 2011
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This CD had a good selection of songs but it was just okay in my opinion. I had grown up loving the spice girls from the music to their dolls and all of the books and magazines about them. Maybe I am just too old to appreciate the music anymore. It just isn't quality. I remember the singles and really only like a few of them. Not really worth wasting your money buying this unless you want to take a trip down memory lane with the Spice Girls.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Spice Girls Collection, February 11, 2011
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Many of the hits on this cd are very high-quality and good to listen to. I remember being in high school when many of the Spice Girl's songs were played on the radio. Many of these songs are good to listen to when you want to boost your mood and/or put yourself in a mindset to have fun and be carefree. Here are some of their hits that I would recommend listening to first:
"2 Become 1"
"Spice Up Your Life"-this was one of my top favorite songs by them when I listened to them during my high school years.
"Say You'll Be There"
"Wannabe"
"Holler"-I confess that I became more interested in this song recently. "Holler" is a very daring song about someone wanting to give someone so much pleasure that they scream their name (which explains the name of this song).

I feel that a good job was done in selecting some of their best hits. Listening to this cd also gives one a positive nostalgic feeling of some of the British music that was popular to listen to during the 90's and the early 2000's. My overall favorite song on this cd would definitely be "Holler".

I would recommend getting this Spice Girl's Greatest collection if you enjoy pop/dance/pop music.

3.0 out of 5 stars Spice Up Your Life..A little, October 14, 2010
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Okay, here I go with each song:

"Wannabe"-A good song, just a bit samey. I especially like the melody with Geri's lines.
"Say You'll Be There"-OK, I suppose. I just don't click with it.
"2 Become 1"-Same with the last two. It just doesn't capture me.
"Mama"-A little better, but I'd expect better from the Spice Girls.
"Who Do You Think You Are"-Now this is good. But still not as good as I hoped.
"Move Over"-The most pointless song I've ever heard. Boring.
"Spice Up Your Life"-Happy, light, sweet...what's not to love?
"Too Much"-Very nice. And a bonus with Victoria singing solo.
"Stop"-Just samey. Very bubblegum girl band-ish.
"Viva Forever"-Definitely one of the best songs. Live forever indeed!
"Let Love Lead The Way"-Just as good, but maybe a bit harder to get into.
"Holler"-Not as bad as "Move Over" but a bit boring.
"Headlines(Friendship Never Ends)"-Better, but it just doesn't capture me.
"Voodoo"-Now this is good. As they say "The fever's gonna get you, yeah yeah"
"Goodbye"-"No no no no" as they say. This song just doesn't have the edge the best ones have.

I personally think "Voodoo" is the best. Most of them are pretty good, just not original. I reccomend this CD, just not strongly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Totally 90s, February 11, 2009
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This is a totally 90s English girl group that has enough sex appeal to make it work. The 90s perhaps offers the most to a critic- cheaply produced race oriented music that at times gives chills with homo erotic themes. Well the era of the band is over now, and this is a relic of late 90s material that can send chills worse than black metal. It was hopefully wasn't true but homoracial.

1.0 out of 5 stars Spice Girls? Best of their only 2 albums?, August 16, 2010
By
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Can someone explain to me how a group releases two albums, and then a greatest hits comes along? Why wouldn't they just release a 2 CD pack of ALL the songs and call that their ONLY songs?
