I must first say that this review is NOT meant to disparage or criticize Al Green or his music but to point out why you should not buy this CD. For starters, the sound quality is NOT better than on the 1995-issued The Right Stuff reissue of this album. Second, the five bonus tracks featured on the 1995 edition are not included here--yet this is still a full-priced CD! Al Green was most definitely one of the most important and influential male R&B singers of the 1970s but I'd recommend going with original albums like "Let's Stay Together", "Call Me", "Al Green Explores Your Mind" and "I'm Still In Love With You" instead of this compilation which (perhaps unnecessarily) gets reissued yet again.

don't get me wrong -- any al is good al, but 'greatest hits' comes up way short with several choice cuts missing. the 'hi and mighty' 2CD import set on hi records uk is the one to get. it uses the original masters and the sound is much better. you also get almost all of green's best tracks in one package. i do, however, like the cover photo on this one -- it's a classic. and if you have a dvd-audio player, definitely get the dvd-audio version with 5.1 surround -- it sounds great.

This is classic soul. It brings all of Al Green's greatest hits together in a Masterpiece. If you have a older mom, aunt, uncle, etc. they'll probably love this. I mean its Al Green one of the best hands down singers about love, life and happiness. I'm in my 20's and I still love to hear his music!

I already have Al's stuff somewhere in my digital music collection, but not on any of my current devices. For $3.99, you gotta load up on Mr. Green, that's 4 sure. Nothing but great songs, just needs "Take Me To The River" and "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart" to make it the absolute peak of soul. Pure greatness. Thank you Mr. Green and thank you Amazon for the good price. Please, everyone, just buy this today and make a statement for quality music.

I love his muscic. I was tempted to buy all of his CD's available on Amazon. These are timeless classics (music never gets old).

The product arrived just as it was supposed too. I would definitely use this consumer again. I was very satisfied.

This is another blast from the past, I love Al Green Music. Again I am glad that the oldies but goodies are coming back.

This is hands down one of the most incredible recordings of all time and it features Al at his best, singing songs from and to the heart....

Not much to say. He has his classic songs on the album. There were a few songs that I questioned for being on the album, but I still like the album

I just love this CD. Every song is on point. A great Party or Bid Whiz playing CD. I keep one in the house and in the car as well. Al Green Greatest Hits is a keeper.
