This is a great book for anyone who enjoys short stories, especially hunting tales. It contains a wide range of content from big game hunting to bird hunting. It also contains a wide range of authors from the classics like Hemingway, Faulkner and Teddy Roosevelt to modern jounalists. This book would make a great gift for a hunting or fishing friend or relative

The Greatest hunting stories is a book with 29 of the greatest hunting stories. One of the stories I like the best is Black Death. This Story is about a cape buffalo that kills a man so an officer must go find the buffalo and kill it before it kills some one else. To find out the thrilling ending read the book. Another story is Good Morning. This story is about a young kid that shoots his first buck. "This is a exciting and thrilling book. It would be good for any hunter at any age." -A teenager from Mid-Prairie High School.

bought this for a retired hunter. He loved the stories. Great book for a gift.

Sportsman love short stories that keep our adventurous minds outdoors when we have to be indoors. Lamar Underwood, former editor of Sports Afield and Outdoor Life, has truly assembled a GREAT collection of Hunting Tales from a talented cast of writers whom have lived life to the fullest. If you asked 29 people to pick their favorite tale you could truly get 29 different responces. My favorite would be Jim Corbett's piece titled, "The Thak Man-Eater." If you love the classics than this book belongs in your personal library.

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my husband and he LOVED it. He is an avid deer and turkey hunter but not a big reader. The stories aren't terribly long and he really loves them. This is a great gift for any hunter.

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for a hunter who enjoys reading. He found that the stories were pretty good, some really good! and I thought he thought it was a great gift.

Why is it taking so long for this item to ship?? I ordered it on December 15th and was told it IS in stock. I just don't understand what the hold up is.
