I'll keep this one short.
This book helped me do the following: 1. Get confidence as a sales newbie. 2. Choose the industry and the product. 3. Drive my sales commission check from about $250/week to over $1,200/week in a few months. Buy it. Use it. Phil Saparov

There are so many "jobs books" out there that you would think it had all been said before. But it hadn't. Not until Frank Felker decided to tackle the topic in "The Greatest Job You Never Thought Of" had I ever read a book that focuses exclusively on sales jobs -- how to search for one, how to win one, and how to sell successfully once you get one.
One strength of this book compared to others in the "jobs" category is that it is focused on helping you rethink your view of sales careers, and then it shows you how to take advantage of the opportunities in this in-demand, lucrative profession. Most other competing books tell you about many types of jobs, but they never show you how to succeed in them if and when you get a job. Also, other jobs books lay out so many career options for the reader that many people become paralyzed by all the choices and never benefit from these books at all. This is certainly not this case here. Mr. Felker is upfront with the reader that this is a book exclusively about selling for a career. He's honest and realistic about what the selling profession is and isn't. He tells you that sales is not for everyone, but that its benefits might be unknown to people who have traditionally stayed away from it. He will change your view of sales for the better. This book will entice and motivate reluctant salespeople, but it will not do so by promising the reader that finding good sales jobs is easy (only that they're abundant), or that sales is the fast road to riches (but that it is very possible to become a high earner in sales). It will entice readers to consider the profession because Mr. Felker writes from his own experiences and he gives readers a step-by-step plan for succeeding. If you're considering changing careers or have ever considered giving sales a shot, don't do anything until you've read "The Greatest Joh You Never Thought Of". It's a practical handbook that will put you on the path to a successful sales career. It just might be the best pocket change you ever spent.

This exceptionally well crafted book fills a unique need by detailing not just the 'how' of sales, but the 'why.'
I have studied, taught, and practiced professional sales for many years, and I am very impressed with Frank's coverage of the world's most important, challenging, and rewarding profession. I highly recommend reading the book--and spending as much time with Frank as possible--to anyone ready to work and grow into The Greatest Job they'll ever have. |
