For those of you like me who thought the Hellhounds (the Sats minus Dan Baird, sorry Dan) were a better band than the Georgia Satellites, this is the record for you. It's basically covers played like they owned 'em, which is the way a cover song should come across, right? This record smokes from the first track. "Hand to Mouth" is one of the great Satellites songs - it should have been a hit. I bought the same record as an import from Denmark a few years ago. Glad to see it's easier to get now. Pick it up!

I saw these guys twice in the late 80's, and at their worst, the Satellites were one of the best pure rock 'n' roll bands of all time. Certainly no other 80's band rocked like they did.

This is a great example of the Sattlelites at their finest. Just straight ahead, ballsy bar-room rock n roll. The boys show a little more than just raucous three chord foot stompers on a few tunes, but stay with who they are on the rest and it all mixes together very nicely. I think the Sattlelites could /should be as big as any of the southern rockers (Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, ect.) short of Skynyrd, and I could swear I can hear some Georgia Sattlelites in some of the Black Crowes music. Definitely buy this CD if you want to hear some kick ass rock the way it was meant to be played.
