THIS IS A GREAT SELECTION OF PATTI LABELLES LOVE SONGS. PATTI HAS THE POWER OF GOD THAT FLOWS THROUGH HER VOICE. SHE HAS THE ABILITY TO PICK YOU UP AND TAKE YOU ON A FABULOUS RIDE WITH EVERY NOTE SHE SINGS. THERE IS NO ONE LIKE HER.

The first time I saw Patti in Concert was at the Former Circle Star Theater. It was indeed part religious experience and part nervous breakdown--- alright. This was a comment printed in a newspaer from a white Rock Music Critic who never heard of Patti Labelle or attended any of her Legendary concerts. People do dress up for that event!!! That is how much respect she is afforded in the community. Anyway, after that particular show, comprised of over 80% whites as Ms. Patti noticed as she said on the mike, sent me to high Heaven. I wanted to be a singer after being so inspired by the Angel on Earth. The extremely wide range, power, intensity, dynamic moods, storms of emotions, showmanship, stage presence, lung power... all captured my heart once again for the 1001th time. Patti made a difference in my life. I hope that she will make a difference for you too.

This CD is just fantastic. A joyful and soulful interpertation of some great love songs. I put this CD in my player about three weeks ago and have not stopped listening to it since. Patti sings from her toes out to the very top of her head and her voice has never sounded better. Although my overwhelming favorite is still If You Asked Me To, there are so many wonderful songs to chose from, and nothing beats the joy and happiness that comes through on A Joy To Have Your Love. For those who think Britney Spears is a singer, listen to this CD and you will hear a real singer. Long Live Patti LaBelle.

Patti LaBelle is still the ultimate R&B survivor. Although, many people have written her off in place of divas like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. Nonetheless, her sound is still as strong as it originally was introduced in the 60's and 70's.

Her Greatest Love Songs collection, consists of 17 different songs by LaBelle including When You Talk About Love, The Right Kinda Lover, and I'm In Love Again. Some of the songs are still as dominant as before, but I was hoping that a track or two was released from Patti LaBelle's career with the Bluebelles and LaBelle. Nonetheless, this collection is still worth the money, especially for any romantic couple in the mood for soul love.

There is still no doubt about it. Patti LaBelle is still one of the longest running successful singers in R&B music today, and that is still the truth.

I have always dug Patti Labelle"s voice.Her Material overall doesn't always do her Justice to Me.but this Compilation is a Nice overview mainly for My Jam"If Only You Knew" that is the Jam.Patti is soemthing else.

This Philadelphia "Soul-Diva" gives out with the best of her "Greatest Love Songs"...from the
early '70s and still going strong on the charts today...don't miss any of her beautiful soulfull
seventeen selections on this one-of-a-kind Universal/Hip-O release, which is a real trip for
LaBelle connoisseurs.

Let's talk about the stand outs ~ "IF ONLY YOU KNEW"(1983), this single version left a
lasting impression on me---"THE BEST IS YET TO COME"(1983), finds Patti featured on
and with Grover Washington's title album song, her style prevails to perfection with the late
Washington's sax.

My personal pick for the highlight ~ "IF YOU ASKED ME TO"(1989), our favorite Secret
Agent 007(James Bond) needed a Love Theme, Patti was called to lend her sensual delivery
to the Timothy Dalton Bond Film "License To Kill", an the rest my Bond Fans is history, gotta
love it!

i been a big fan of pattie since i was a little girl but it one song that i been look for from her and i just cant find it im hope byn put this review in that may be some body can tell me what the song is i though it wa look to the rain bow but i dont thank its that so if in one know what the song is could you please email me a let me know what it is i cant thank of how it gose all i know is she is holding this very long long long note at the end so if any body know what song im talk about please send to my email address it [...].

I thought this album could have been better. I do like the songs but I wanted more of my favorites on it. but it's worth buying
