New Lows,
This review is from: The Greatest Remixes (Audio CD)
This is terrible. Mixing your songs with synthesized beats to give it some hip hop/R&B feel when your a "punk" band is probably the worse thing you could ever do. None of the songs are remotely similar to the originals aside from the lyrics. Man talk about selling out from the whole DC punk image they tried to label themselves. Save your money. I did think it was funny that in the amazon "people who bought this also bought" section the Twilight Movie soundtrack was listed, which just goes to show the type of people that are still fans.

Truly awful.,

I LOVE Good Charlotte. I've been a huge fan since I first heard "The Young and the Hopeless" in 2003. I've listened to all of their albums (self-titled, TYATH, Chronicles, Good Morning Revival, and Cardiology) a zillion times and love them all... but "Greatest Remixes" is really pretty awful. Yeah I suppose it is pretty cool that they're doing something "different" or whatever- but wasn't "Good Morning Revival" different enough (at least from some of their earlier stuff)? GMR was good, and the songs featured on here are good, but these remixes are just horrible. Coming from someone who LOVES this band, I can't imagine why they made this album or who thought these remixes sounded good.
I do like "Anxiety", but if you ask me that's about the only listenable track on here (this is coming from a die-hard GC fan).

Great remixes,
This review is from: The Greatest Remixes (Audio CD)
I rate this item 4 out of 5 stars, simply for the fact that this album features remixes of Good Charlotte's previous songs and the remixes aren't done by the band. Nevertheless, that is also something that makes me grow respect for the band - they are not afraid at all to give their work out of hands. The remixes are very cool and divers and I think every artist that contributed to this album did a great job. Because of the diversity, their music become available to a larger crowd and more people might grow respect for the band and actually start seeing them as musicians and not another kind of boyband.
The album also features a new song, called 'Anxiety' which is just another great Good Charlotte song.
