4.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect...but not quite
The CD arrived in PERFECT, FACTORY SEALED condition and I'm a STICKLER for True Stereo. CD#1,Track #1 "Little Bit O'Soul" by Music Explosion's and Track #6 "This Magic Moment" done by Jay & Americans - BOTH were originally recorded in Stereo. However, the stereo as presented leave a lot to be desired. Ian Whitcomb's "You Turn Me On" is...

2.0 out of 5 stars mediocre oldies with a couple of exceptions
I bought this only for 'Spooky' by Classics IV which is a great song. The only other song I like on this double cd is 'Bus Stop' by The Hollies.

CD#1,Track #1 "Little Bit O'Soul" by Music Explosion's and Track #6 "This Magic Moment" done by Jay & Americans - BOTH were originally recorded in Stereo. However, the stereo as presented leave a lot to be desired. Ian Whitcomb's "You Turn Me On" is "Ugly Mono" all the way.

CD#2, Track #1 "Nobody But Me" by the Human Beinz and Track #10 "Snoopy vs the Red Baron" by the Royal Guardsmen - BOTH were originally recorded in Stereo..and neither of which are in Stereo as presented here. It is disappointing to have good songs, originally recorded in Stereo...NOT offered here on this CD. All other songs on BOTH CDs are in Very Good Stereo. Thus, earning only 4 Stars instead of the possible 5. Better Luck next time. All songs are the Original versions performed by the Original Artists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time Travellers : Here's your "machine"!, July 27, 2001

The music on this set will take you back... back to the days when life was simpler: when laying on the hood of your car at the beach (or in Foster's Freeze parking lot) was your 'job'; when gasoline was 19.9 cents per gallon; when the hardest thing you had to do was to 'die of embarrassment' on a daily basis; when it was still OK to get a tan--and the sky was actually BLUE! I bought this set for my parents, who were still very young then too. I enjoyed hearing their copy so much that I bought another for myself and my 3 sisters. If you don't have time/funds to take a vacation this year, here's your ticket out anyhow--no planefare involved. Don't pass it up. You can't buy memories like these for a better price.

Although it was backordered and came three weeks after X-mas, the quality of the product is good.
