5.0 out of 5 stars Nobody Rocks Like The Supersuckers
How the Supersuckers never became as popular in the 90's as other Seattle bands (that I won't mention) is a complete mystery. This CD is perfect for those who love to rock out but haven't been turned on to the Supersuckers. The first half are well-picked outtakes from their studio albums and the second are b-sides and other gems. Besides all their staples, their version...

3.0 out of 5 stars Shout bamalama
Lugging an obnoxiously long declaration for a title "How the Supersuckers Became the Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World" is a compilation of some of the Supersuckers' finest moments. The term "finest moments" may lack any objective relevance though. The Supersuckers excel at a sort of tongue-in-cheek bamalama, a hammering hybrid of garage punk and Motorhead metal,...

Besides all their staples, their version of Ice Cube's "Dead Homiez" is out of the blue and simply awesome (and hilarious). Also, their cover of Keith Richard's "Before They Make Me Run" with Steve Earl on vocals actually blows away the original (which I already loved). In short, if you have any doubts, buy this album, you will not be disappointed. Then buy their new one and go see them live. You may have to sell your soul to Satan somewhere in the process but that's ok, it's worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars they must've been high, March 1, 2006
This review is from: Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World (Audio CD)
We can only pray that someday America will awaken from its cultural slumber and realize that the Supersuckers and Rocket From the Crypt were two of the best yet criminally underrated rock bands of the 1990s (and early 00s). Both brought punk back to its rock 'n' roll roots with tongue firmly lodged in cheek, and in an era shoe-gazing whiny emo rockers they put on a damn good live show. The Supersuckers' Sacrlicious Sounds Of .. . and their "country" album, Must've Been High, are classics waiting to be rediscovered, so go out and get them now so you can lie to all your lame-ass hipster friends and tell them you were way into the Supersuckers way back when. Or get this one, which includes most of the best songs from those two albums plus their earlier punk stuff and the ironic genius of their cover of "Dead Homiez."

how good is it? good enough to get me to completely forget a pointless, dead-end crush for a few hours. i think i wore out the CD listening to the first verse of "Supersucker Drive-By Blues" about a bazillion times -...hilarious!

keep music evil.

5.0 out of 5 stars Supersuckers, April 19, 2010
This review is from: Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World (Audio CD)
If you are new to the Supersuckers this is a great place to start. One of the best rock bands to come out of the '90s and still going strong in 2010 unlike the crappy grunge bands. Born With A Tail is probably my favorite song on this cd. They are a band that can do it all, rock, punk, country, a little blues.

this album is simply great. it takes every part of the supersuckers and blends it togather to come up with a great finished product. it's definately a must have for any supersuckers fans or anyone else who is into drunken punk country blues

Superb collection from the boys. Some great no frills rawk. Only problem is a few unfortunate MIA's such as Mighty Joe Young and their toasted version of Burnin' up. Buy this.

Not a big fan of greatest hits - would have liked an all-out live album more, there is really no excuse for not having each album individually. A supersuckers greatest hits is really rather redundant, they've been great for years. I saw em live a while back though, and it does look like they could use the extra money.

5.0 out of 5 stars excuse me while I puke and die, April 8, 2000
This review is from: Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World (Audio CD)
Are you stupid? If you answer yes to this question than don't buy this. Do you like straight up rock from your, (put your most important part of your body here), up her, (get the frickin point)? I don't want to get in trouble, so as a stupid sounding adult: make yourself a slave to rock and roll and buy this gem
