Since the publication of The Secret a lot of books are coming out related to it. Since I have always enjoyed Marc Allen's books I was happy to go and pick this one up. The first third of the book starts out with Marc sharing details of his life and how he came to learn about the law of attraction, or the secrets of manifestation. Since Marc was also the author of another book I had read and enjoyed,The Millionaire Course: A Visionary Plan for Creating the Life of Your Dreams, I already had a sense of both Marc's writing style and how he manifested wealth in his life. And, since I had previously interviewed a number of authors from his publishing company on my radio show, I knew he was a spiritual man, who by the way has a great sense of humor (I have had the opportunity to hear him speak in person and he was adorable). Marc is therefore a credible person to share about manifestation and the greater secret this book reveals of how to live a worthwhile and spiritual life. And, his book embraces an idea that I also advocate -- we need to learn to use the law of attraction in a more spiritual way.

As the book promotes this is "the clearest explanation to date of the power of manifestation." Yes, it is clear, but the book is also very short (both in size and length of pages), which made me wonder if I was really getting my money's worth. I mean I just wished there was more to the book than there was and felt that the conclusion (that we need to be loving human beings) was somewhat simplistic. But, hey, sometimes great truths don't need a lot of words, and that is part of Marc's style and charm! So, if you want a light-hearted and illuminated book that can help you go past the hype The Secret book created, this is a great find! Hopefully, you will walk away feeling as I have always felt about Marc Allen, that he is a man who makes a difference and lives a life that truly embodies what his book is about.

In this short, but enjoyable book, Marc Allen talks about moving beyond the secret of manifestation to the greatest secret of all: loving and serving yourself and others.

As he notes, finding true fulfillment through love is not really a secret. But as he quotes from the Bhagavad Gita, "I use the word secrets not because these things are hidden, but because so few people are prepared to hear them today."

Allen walks through the 4 simple steps to manifestation:
1 - Dream
2 - Imagine
3 - Believe
4 - Create

...and then he describes what he calls the "core belief process" which helps you deal with any difficult situation or problem in your life.

He concludes by noting that love is the creative force of all life and notes that love is all that matters.

The book is very repetitive, but as Marc Allen notes, it is repetition that causes great truths to sink in. While he doesn't really cover new ground in this little book, it is a very good reminder of what really matters in life.

Marc changed my life over 20 plus years ago with his reading of 'As a Man Thinks.' His soothing voice helped get the works of James Allen into the deepest layers of my subconsious mind, transforming the way I think and thus my life. I have read every book Marc has written and have attended his workshops. I love this book in particular because in it he has been able to summarize his winning simple system. I will give this book to many people to whom I want to introduce Marc's work... it is a condensed powerhouse of steps that really work. LPirtle

The Greatest Secret of All by Marc Allen
This book is a re-release and just in time for those of us who take New Year's resolutions seriously. Use this book to help design your great new year. Or, students about to graduate will also appreciate this timely tome as they embark on their lifetime of adventure. Subtitled "Simple Steps to Abundance, Fulfillment, and a Life Well Lived," Allen describes his journey of discovery and how he found the path to manifesting all his dreams into reality. He shares a simple method to enable readers to envision and define their futures in their own words. The guidance is simple. Here's an example: Dream, Imagine, Believe and Create. Each simple exercise leads deeper into the realm of unlimited potential. You can learn and re-discover your creative side and move your life in any direction, new or in progress. If you're feeling stuck, this book can help more you forward. Whatever you dream, you can become and these powerful tools propel you forward. The book is short and very easy to understand. The Greatest Secret of All makes a great gift for loved ones and yourself. While I didn't find any of the ideas new or especially innovative, I did find value in the exercises. The book prompted me to remember my dreams and place some new energy into my life's plans. Additionally, I think that younger readers will find the book to be enlightening and powerful.

This is one of the most inspiring and well written texts on the secrets of life I have ever read. It contains the essence of all great wisdom traditions - including how to live the life of our dreams AND create a world that works for all. I actively use these principles in my life and the effects are beyond what I had dared to expect. It is truly possible to live a life of ease, grace and fulfillment....

I absolutely hated to write this review because of the joy and success I've discoverd via following some of the beliefs and practices in Marc's work as well as other "LOA" pundits. However, having discovered Mark's book, "The Lazy ... way to success," then reading the "Millionaire Course" and now this one, it occurred to me that, like many LOA "marketeers," he has simply taken some great material, and condensed and re packaged it SEVERAL TIMES under different titles to take advantage of whatever the latest "rage" is. It breaks my heart. The material is great, and it rings of truth .... but it's about the ninth time he's published it ... and each book gets shorter and shorter .... I'm sorry, but I'm disappointed in the author on this one.

On the other hand, if you've NEVER read Marc Allen, I would highly recommned this ... or the Millionaire course .... or the Lazy Way to Success. They are all great, the content is full of truth. My negative review is based only on what I consider to be a little "over the top" marketing and repackaging the same material over and over again.

Marc Allen, in only 119 pages of text captures the essence of what each of us needs to do to move forward and create the life we want. He spells it out clearly, easily and doesn't hold back. This, of course, is a great book for a graduate just starting out or someone who wants to start their spiritual growth but more imporantly, this book is for ANY and EVERY one who wants to decrease their stress levels while at the same time attaining their goals. I was amazed at how much of what was written truly resonated and made so much sense, and is easy to do. Some books state things and they seem simple, but actually doing that which is stated is not easy. NOT with this book. It IS easy. He's written an instruction manual that everyone should read because everyone will benefit from this in a HUGE way. I interviewed Mr. Allen on my radio show and he is both genuine, sincere and since the book is a reflection of his life, he is indeed living his dream and spends each day living as his authentic self. It is a must for anyone wishing to make changes - you can and will succeed with this one little book!

I have been reading law of attraction books for years (and years). They've been fun, and they've even been a bit helpful. But not until now did I really get it!

"The secret of manifestation is not complicated. In fact, it is very simple... it appears too simple and too obvious. And we feel it should be more complex somehow. Or at least more original, not something we've heard many times before." From the book.

In truth, it really is all that simple, and Marc goes into it step by step.

Marc talks about his own personal experiences. He started out pretty much in a state of poverty at the age of 30! Within just a few years though he was a millionaire. No magic wand... no magical inheritance. Just practicing what he now preaches!

He also talks about the exercises that he does, which are simple, because in his own words, "he's very lazy." He also points out that the exercises should be simple, because the subconscious mind needs to be able to accept them. If our subconscious can't accept what we are doing, it's not going to work for us.

I find his style charming and endearing. He's friendly and to the point! Seriously too the point!! No fluff... no sparkly things... no vague promises. Just do the work. That's it!

I LOVED this book, and am listening to the audio book right now for the second time.

I would highly recommend "The Greatest Secret of All" to anyone and everyone who is looking not for a life of big homes and fancy cars, but rather for a life of true fulfillment and happiness.

Like stretching in the morning sun, Marc Allen's book is refreshingly simple to understand in an "easy and relaxed" manner. His insightful observations invite the reader to become more aware of what they are doing while thinking, breathing and being. He gives us the permission to ask for what we want. He reminds us that as we start to focus on that which brings us joy, we are automatically stirring up our subconscious doubts and fears.

Rather than cave in to our inadequacy, he shows us how to "stay on track" by simply readjusting our attitude of worth and trusting our God-given intuition--similar to my own book, Forgiveness: The Divine Connection.

I also enjoyed his soulful points which felt like elegant desserts beautifully arranged on a silver platter. Marc allows us to ask for God's love and support and helps us realize that this simple inquiry automatically creates the intention to receive abundance, joy, and success. A lovely gift for yourself to read over and over!

People who write about manifesting and/or the "Law of Attraction," seem to fall into three groups. First are people who heard about it, and set out to apply it in their own lives. Second are people like Oprah who have become extremely successful and believe that their success is a result of applying the principles of the Law, and finally are the people who write about it from a more philosophical perspective.

Marc Allen is clearly in the first group. He tells his story with remarkable candor. He was an impecunious drifter until he had an epiphany at the age of thirty and decided to change his life. First he began by writing down the details of what his ideal life would be five years hence, and he then began to apply some principles that he had read about in a book by the Unity Church minister Catherine Ponder.

The results were amazing and today Marc is clearly someone who "Walks the talk." He not only writes but he also has published or re-published a string of remarkable books that are aimed at changing the world for the better. He makes it abundantly clear that the law of manifestation does not magically create something out of nothing. I have never yet met anyone who manifested a stack of hundred dollar bills on the nightstand! Instead he says this, "There are no secrets, just truths and powerful laws of creation that remain hidden from our awareness until we are ready to hear them."

The final sentence of the book is one of the finest that I have ever read, and reflects my own philosophy that we all have within us an Innate Freedom that we can easily unlock if only we know how. But Marc puts it better than I ever could: "Together, working in partnership, we can discover how to live the life of our dreams, and along the way help create a world of peace and prosperity for all."

This is a short book that you can easily read in an hour, and to make it even easier, the important points are set out in great big bold friendly letters. Yet despite the brevity of the book and simplicity of its ideas, this one is definitely a keeper: the kind of book that stays with you long after you have finished it. The book is inexpensive and it costs nothing to implement the ideas. I strongly suggest that you try to do so.
