4.0 out of 5 stars NOFX's Greatest Songs Ever Written, 2004 Epitaph Records
First off, I'd like to start by saying, NOFX is one of my all-time favorite bands ever. They are a very good So-Cal punk band. They have many very good, catchy songs. This compilation is a greatest hits album spanning their 21 year career. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great
I like many people around my age, got into NoFX when I was around fourteen and Punk in Drublic came out and I was just discovering punk rock for the first time. What a great place to start. That album is great and I can still listen to it from start to finish to this day. I was excited when I went into my local music store and found a career spanning anthology by NoFX...

A Kid's Review
First off, I'd like to start by saying, NOFX is one of my all-time favorite bands ever. They are a very good So-Cal punk band. They have many very good, catchy songs. This compilation is a greatest hits album spanning their 21 year career. I do think they left off some key hits, and some of the songs on the compilation would have been better replaced with some of these songs, but overall it is a pretty good collection. I love every song on it. Some of the songs that should have been on that aren't are:

The Brews

Six Pack Girls

Monosyllabic Girl

The Pharmacist's Daughter

Freedom Like a Shopping Cart

Irrationality of Reality

Mr. Jones

Where's My Slice?

and more....

My personal favorites on the album:

Dinosaurs Will Die

Don't Call Me White

Linoleum

Bottles to the Ground

Reeko

Shut Up Already

Franco Unamerican

180 Degrees

Since these songs are all already released, there is no point in reviewing every single one of these songs, so I will just review the extra, unreleased track 'wore out the soles of my party boots'.

Wore Out the Soles of My Party Boots- a great, catchy humorous song about becoming old in punk rock. i like it alot. deffinately deserves 5/5.

If you're a big nofx song, you probably don't need to bother buying this. Do what I did and just download the bonus track off if I-Tunes, it's only a buck, and its really better than paying 10-15 bucks for the cd and only getting one song you dont have. yet, if you're a new fan just getting into nofx, this is a good place to start. otherwise, just buy all the albums, they all are awesome. long live nofx!

4.0 out of 5 stars 14 Albums, 16 EP's And Numerous Complilations..., November 25, 2004
By
There are `Greatest Hits' and `Best Of' albums everywhere you look at the moment - not surprisingly just in time for Christmas. But I have to say, I was not expecting one from punk legends NOFX. A band who make no secret of their disdain for the music industry and its money-grubbing ways. So it is with a certain level of irony that Fat Mike and the band have put together a `Best Of' package with one previously unreleased song (a common major label ploy to assure purchases). Politics aside, NOFX have been one of the best, if not funniest punk bands (album titles include `S&M Airlines', `Punk In Drublic', `I Heard They Suck Live' etc) of the last twenty years and this collection is a great introduction if you happened to have missed them. For the long-time fans, not everyone will be happy. But how the hell were they going to please the masses? 14 albums, 16 EP's and numerous compilations - all with songs at an average of 2 minutes - that is a lot of tracks to choose from. I think they got pretty close (`The Malachi Crunch' being the only glaring omission in this reviewers eyes), and it would be a worthwhile addition to any CD rack. 27 songs, 62 minutes, under 12 dollars = Ridiculously Good Value.

This CD rocks and I found out about this from Tony Hawk's Underground and the best track is Separation of Church and Skate. This is a absolutely awesome CD!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Introduction to NOFX, February 8, 2006
I bought this album after downloading a few NOFX songs and thoroughly enjoying them. This is a great introduction to the band and contains some of their best songs. "Bob", "Don't Call Me White", "Franco Un-American", "Longest Line", and "Separation of Church & Skate" are my favorites. Theres one problem though: some missing songs. "Please Play This Song On The Radio" is easily one of NOFX's most clever and catchy songs, and it definetly should've been included on here. "The Brews" is a fun grungy sing a long tune, as is "My Vagina". Also, "Together On The Sand" is a really funny jazzy beach pop song that was left off.

4.0 out of 5 stars awesome, July 31, 2005
Nofx is my favorite band.i have listened to nofx and picked up everything i could done by these guys.In no way are Nofx *pop* They are punk rock and ska.Fat Mike has written lyrics that make me bust a gut when listening to them.23 years still isn't slowing these punk rockers down.

Sure there are a few songs missing from this collection but isn't that the same with every greatest hits album?I know that I liked a few songs that weren't on the ramones greatest hits album and it was still a great cd.The same goes for this cd.This cd has great songs on it from dinosaurs will die to wore out the soles of my party boots.

It seems as though nofx didn't want to get popular put they came through with hilarious lyrics and built a fan base.Nofx is a great band and every nofx fan should get this.

I wont be buying this CD... but only because I own every CD that these songs originally came from (except for that one new song). You should buy this CD if you like NOFX but you don't own many of their CDs. Every song on this CD is great. I love this band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Collection, March 26, 2005
By

I don't care if they left off songs. This is still and amazing collection of 27 great NoFX songs. It features a lot of classic and great NoFX songs from throughout their career. If you want more, get some of their CDs, but if you are just starting to like NoFX or want to hear a slice of them, this is an excellent cd. I like it especcially, because it puts a lot of good songs on one CD. I reccomend it.

Favorite Songs: "Dinosaurs Will Die", "Thank God It's Monday", "Bottles to the Ground" off 'Pump Up The Valuum', "Linoleum" off 'Punk In Drublic', "The Idiots Are Taking Over", "The Seperation of Church and Skate" and "Franco Un-American" off ' The War On Errorism', "Bleeding Heart Disease" off 'Heavy Petting Zoo', "Stickin' In My Eye" off 'White Trash, Two Heebs, And A Bean', "Don't Call Me White" off 'Don't Call Me White', "It's My Job To Keep Punk Rock Elite" and "All Outta Angst" off 'So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes', and all the rest are great, but these are just my favorites, but I love listening to this CD all the way through. It also includes one previously unreleased song.

5.0 out of 5 stars THe greatest songs ever written.... EVER, January 3, 2005
Buy this cd! NOFX is one of the best punk bands out there and this album really shows it. Standout tracks include: Dinosaurs will die, Bob, Bottles to the ground, and some others, they're all great.

This album might not be for everyone, but for anyone who likes punk at all this album will never leave your cd player.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't even need to hear it, June 4, 2005
I know all of the songs (except for the unreleased one), and know they all are quality. I was appalled to see someone saying NOFX are a horrible and ignorant band. These guys were a huge influence on me, and deserve everything they've gotten. They're a working class band that 3523486435849 bands chose to copy to get famous. A greatest hits album does seem odd, but the guys have been around for almost 2 decades! Why not have an album of their most popular stuff (which never got radio play mind you). I will confidently say that anyone who hates this band is a moron, and knows absolutely nothing about music. Yes, a moron. MORON. "These guys aren't punk." -- some random idiot. "NOFX came from nothing and made music history with their hugely influential punk revival of attitude, passion and rock. Fat Mike has written some of those most insightful (as well as hilarious) lyrics, and should be recognized as one of the great songwriters of our time" --Passionate fan of all music

I can't wait to see the reactions to this review! Long live NOFX, and thanks for all the memories (and shoes!)

Wes Newman (McMinnville, TN United States) - See all my reviews
I like many people around my age, got into NoFX when I was around fourteen and Punk in Drublic came out and I was just discovering punk rock for the first time. What a great place to start. That album is great and I can still listen to it from start to finish to this day. I was excited when I went into my local music store and found a career spanning anthology by NoFX. And it was awesome to have all of their best songs from many of their albums that I have always wanted to own but never had enough money to buy, on one c.d. However, I wish they had put a little more care into the making of this compilation. It felt like they put it together kind of haphazardly. Like when I read some of the stuff in the collages I have to strain my eyes just to do so, like they used a bad copier or something to make it on. I would have liked a chronological listing of songs, a short foreword or a small biography or something that gave a little more information about the band, and a few more songs from PID and White Trash... Also if you own some of their c.d.'s but not all of them and choose to add songs in to make your own "hits" collection it kind of sucks when your listening to it because some of the songs from the older c.d.'s are recorded at a lower volume level and don't have the same sound quality as the ones from this one do. These are just some minor complaints that take this c.d. down from a great compilation to an alright compilation and in no way reflect upon the quality of the music. The music is great and all the best to NoFX in the future.
