Don't be fooled
These are all late 80's remakes. Look for his RCA releases for the originals. Don't make the same mistake I made.

This CD, a collection of his most well-known hits, gives the unacquainted listener a pleasant introduction to the skills of this classic country singer. It also allows those who've heard them before, but probably not lately, the opportunity to revisit pleasant memories.

The songs on this selection are good (as all of Porter's songs are!), but they're not his BEST songs. "Satisfied Mind" is definitely the best song on the whole album.

I bought this for my husband. He loves to listen to this artist but I couldn't find his CD's in the stores. This is a great CD for his classic country collection. I'm so glad I know where to go for more like this.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CD. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE MARRIED IN 1979, AND OUR FAVORITE SONG WAS GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME. WE ARE ABOUT TO CELEBRATE OUR 30TH ANNIVERSARY, AND WE WILL BE DANCING TO THIS CD, AND ESPECIALLY THAT SONG AGAIN.

never got it but giving it the benefit of the doubt. Was sent to the wrong address because we moved and I forgot one address to change. Too many middle men.
