I am reading the negative reviews on this CD and am a bit baffled... This is NOT an Astral Projection CD - Astral Projection has a cut that appears ON this compilation! If you want Astral Projection only - order their CD's! They are ALL Excellent, as is this Goa Trance Collection. The transfer is excellent and DJ-Mixed, so there is no break on either CD from start to finish. The cuts chosen and groups chosen are Excellent representation of the Goa Psi-Trance Genre. They do however list that this is a 3-CD set, and it is actually, a 2-CD set, with a bonus CD thrown in by Hypnotic (the label). This "bonus 3rd CD" - is not all that great, just an older sampler of the label's from 1997. But "The Greatest Goa Trance Collection" is an excellent addition to your collection, offered at an unbeatable price.

initially, when I received this CD, I was disappointed, because due to unclear and misleading short description of this CD, i was expecting a cd by ASTRAL PROJECTION, when in fact its a collection by various artists. But before returning it I thought I'd give it a try. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't read the description more carefully, or I wouldn't have bought the best goa trance CD. I love it! Every single track is brilliant.

The two CDs are good, not "the greatest" but good...it's nothing like an Astral Projection album. Don't pay to much attention to the third disk, it's poor. But you have to admit that the price is really low for 21 songs ! :)

So, here's the deal: this is the BEST thing that happened to us since Astral Projection's Another World. Both CDs in the album are absolutely marvelous, and they truly live up to the "Greatest Goa Trance" hits title, delivering smooth trance impact. Expertly picked mixed tracks will carry you far away and beyond. 3rd "bonus sampler CD" is somewhat of a lackluster, but who really cares -- at the current price this is literally a steal!! If you're looking for a Goa fix, look no further.

Behold, this is not just a two CD set, but three. The bonus CD includes stuff by groups like Astralasia and 808 state, so it's good, too.

Oh yeah. The actual compilation! It's well mixed, and a lot of the songs are great. Solid Electronics is the best Astral Projection song I have ever heard; Psygone is very good, and so is Solar Plexus. These artists and other big names among the unknowns make up a well-rounded and energetic compilation that I'm very glad I bought.

Why all these bad reviews. I guess all those people must not like this kind of music, than don't buy it. I love Goa and I love the Techno Trance. It is the best music to dance, listen and drive too. Sure it all seems like one song, that is what Trance Techno and Dance music is all about keep the groove going. I think it's hot and worth buying.

Hello, if you've been listening to goa for a while you would probably know that Hypnotic records really SUCKS, and anything with groups like Psygone is probably not all that great. The only cd I can think of by Hypnotic that actually was worth the money was "A Dose of Psychedelic Trance". Overall, this is a terrible album. If you like goa trance but aren't sure exactly what to buy, please don't buy this cause you will probably not like goa trance as much anymore. Go to a specialty site...and read the reviews...and buy stuff from labels like TIP world, Blue room released, Krembo, Koyote, Twisted, Boom, they are all good labels and you really cant go wrong. Just stay away from Hypnotic and it's sister label, Cleopatra. This album ended up in the trash after 1 listening, along with "Otherworld Transmission - Chapter one"

This cd has many good songs, but if you want to get some real music there is much much more in the original albums of these artists. There for you are not getting the whole pakage.

this is a boring compilation. it sounds like the same song for over 100 minutes of pure embarrassment. and it's oh-so cheesy. this will sound VERY dated in just a few months. certainly not worth my $. i have already returned my copy! avoid!

This kind of Goa with these artists can't be wrong. If you read this you probebly allready know that. Astral proj, Psygone and Bypass Unit gives you exactly the kix you need. Vitamine-time and kick on the floor and this record will open the door.!.!
