These recordings document the incredible variety and richness in the mediterranean area at the turn of the last century,still ruled by the dying but tolerant Ottoman rule.An incredible charm sprigns out of these old creaky recordings,they take you into a mysterious and truly different dimension! It is also a rare document of the recordins of the time restored. Reccommended for the connaisseurs.

this is a piece of art I have this and believe me if a person truelly knows music this baby is a must have only nexted to the anthology of amaerican folk music and joe bussard's down in the basement.
