More About the Author

Norena Soumakis is a former high school English teacher on Long Island, New York. She was in graduate school at NYU when she met her husband Louis, who was born in Greece. Norena took her numerous and humorous mishaps in dealing with the Greek culture and her many trips to Greece and turned all of these into two books in her series about the famous detective Gero Peerooney. The first book is entitled "The Greek Graffiti Murders;" the second is "Murder at the Olive Oil Factory." If you want to learn about Greece, the people and read atmospheric mystery novels, the two books are available on Amazon and Kindle.

You don't have to have been in Greece to love this book. Ms. Soumakis BRINGS you there. I felt like I was having a conversation with her. It seemed she was relating the details to me --- it was just wonderful. Now I DO want to hop a plane to Greece to meet up with her characters ---

This book was very well written, although I could have had a few less Greek words explained. The story-line was easy to follow, and held your interest. I liked the characters who were portrayed in a well-rounded manner.
