The author clearly explains the engineering, scientific, social and economic basis of Ancient Greco-Roman technology. 177 diagrams, photos and illustrations augment the text.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I am neither a historian nor an engineer. Material was presented in a self-referenced manner allowing nonspecialists to take away an enjoyable read.
