Although the plot for this book is very typical and one that has been done repeatedly before, it's not as bad as the previous reviewer seems to think...

Theo is true to form as a Jacqueline Baird alpha male hero who is arrogant at times but not hateful. He is understandably upset and annoyed when he discovered he's the father of a son that he knew nothing about. But when he first met Willow, the
fact that he truly cared about her and would have loved to continue seeing her even after their one night stand was obvious. Also obvious was their strong attraction to each other...

Willow is likable, and is a good mother to her son and wants what is best for him. She also stood up for herself when the need arose, and didn't allow Theo to walk over her...

I felt this book was well written and held my interest to the end. The only reason why I didn't give it a higher rating that 3 stars is that I am a bit tired of the whole, one-night-stand-resulting-into-a-hidden-pregnancy plot, it's a bit over-done and I am so over it!

All things considered this was a very good Jacqueline Baird book, and if you are a fan of her work, as I am, then give this book a try.

Theo and Willow had sort of a one night stand, but it had actually been a lot more to both of them. Nine years later Willow the mother of a nine year boy and a famous writer and Theo still rich, gorgeous alpha male ran into each other. Sparks start flying between the two but the story lacks. Willow is beautiful, smart, and her latest book won an award, and it's going to be made into a movie, so why is she so damn LAME!! I understand Theo is the sexiest Greek god alive, but dios! All he has to do is kiss the dumb bitch, and she turns to jello. It's down right annoying. I liked Theo but I hated Willow, I like women with a little spine attached to her brain and good looks. She reminded me of that movie "a fish called Wanda" whenever the guy spoke French, she'd have an orgasm and rolled around the floor out of control. I gave it three starts because I did finish it, and it didn't make me fall asleep.

I gave this one more than a 1 star because I've at least finished reading it, but I never intend to again & would never recommend it to anyone who's never read it before!
The story was just so very flat & boring that I now can't even remember what the story was about at all, & this is an extremely unusual occurance for me! There was simply absolutely nothing that was emotionally-gripping in this book! I think this is definitely 1 of the worst books written by JB!
