I generally do not post reviews, but thought I would share how much I enjoyed this book. John Vlahakis does a great job educating his readers in a concise and entertaining manner. Many books in this genre are either overly technical or downright condescending. This author does a great job explaining complicated environmental issues and providing practical ideas that we can actually use. You will enjoy how easy this book is to read.

I'm not a big "green person", but I know I should be more aware of the important environmental issues that all of my friends constantly talk about and politicians argue about on TV. This book has given me a nice foundation of knowledge on all of today's relevant green issues, so I can actually participate in conversations now. I'm really happy that I purchased this book; it's very easy to read and covers all of the important issues. It's written/structured in a way where you can read a few topics at a time and hop around rather than reading straight through. I feel like I'm armed and dangerous on the green issues! Watch out Whole Foods workers, I know more than you now!

John offers great wisdom and ideas for becoming and being environmentally friendly. The section "For the Future" really explains simple ideas about what we can do now to help the environment later. This book will turn any Eco-destructive into an environmentally conscious human being.
