5.0 out of 5 stars an unoriginal title, August 8, 2003
By
This review is from: The Green Book (Audio CD)
this is a great cd, while not their best (belonging to "mostasteless" in my opinion,) definately their second best. this is a basic break down of the album i've put together:

THE GREEN BOOK: ?/10
-the intro is normally skipped over unless it's the first time you listen to the cd... so yeah, it's pretty much unrateable.
ON THE OTHER END: 9/10
-the beat to this is really strange, and the end is pretty "the wraith-y" (ICP,) but paul's verse completely makes up for anything.
WHITE TRASH WIT TAT-2'S: 8/10
-a pretty good song, it's completely original, because they aren't bragging about how flashy their teeth are, but what they really are deep on the inside.
AFRAID OF ME: 9/10
-the deepness in this song is completely jaw-dropping. one of the few, along with "wrong with me" and "i'm alright." the piano in the beat is a pretty cool touch.
WONDERING WHY? (WITH MIKE E. CLARK): 10/10
-the best song on this cd, if not tying with others as their best song ever. M.E.C. completely schools the beat, and this alone is proof that ICP should've made up their differences with him and never left.
CALL ME: 6/10
-the only skit on the album, so it automatically gets bumped down, mostly skipped through, but it's kind of funny.
I'M THE ONLY 1 (WITH SHAGGY 2 DOPE): 8/10
-though i've never really liked twiztid's songs like this, this is probably their best yet, since it's not just defiling women, but trashing ones who sleep around.
SPECULATIONZ (WITH E-40): 7/10
-the chorus to this song is un-beatable. but like many of the other non-psychopathic guest artists, e-40 just doesn't match twiztid's intensity, and takes alot out of it.
THE WORLD IS HELL (WITH ESHAM): 9/10
-probably the best guest appearance on the album, esham holds his own with twiztid. the beat is alot better than the original version released on twiztid.com. raw lyrics.
NIKATEEN: 7/10
-not meaningful to me, since i'm straight-edge, but paul completely holds it for his health-hazardous hobby. maybe if it had been a little longer it could've been better.
U DON'T WANNA B LIKE ME: 9/10
-one of the best songs on the cd, it's similar to the old HoK sound. the metaphors and style are/is great.
SERIAL KILLA (WITH TECH N9NE): 9/10
-the beat sounds like some older ICP stuff, tech n9ne actually does a good job, even though the name game deal isn't really my thing. another one of the best on the cd.
MARSH LAGOON (WITH VIOLENT J): 5/10
-a good song, just not on a twiztid album. it reminds me of some dark lotus. and the chorus is about horrible. sorry, joe.
BOBBY'S DAD: 8/10
-a really "freek show" sounding song. tons of distorted guitars in there, and the acoustic break down at the end is pretty cool. though kind of repetative, still a good song.
HYRDO (WITH LAZY-BONE): 8/10
-though again, not my thing since i'm straight-edge, a good song about one of twiztid's hobbies. lazy-bone's verse is decent, and the beat is pretty addicting.
FRANKENSTEIN (WITH COLTON GRUNDY): 8/10
-really addicting chorus. when i first got this cd i was singing it at random times for a week straight. blaze should be proud that he atleast left the fans with this before leaving. though not one of the best on the cd, one of my favorites.
EVERYBODY DIEZ (WITH ABK & BUSHWICK BILL): 4/10
-i can't really say i like this song at all. twiztid's verses are ok, but the chorus is horrible, bushwick's verse is kind of wack, and any time abk does a compilation, with his higher-pitched voice he sounds pretty weak. probably the worst on the cd.
FAT KIDZ: 7/10
-jamie putting it down for the kids with dinner rolls under their arms. the line "hey yo, fat people are hard to kidnap" is un-beatable.
HOM-SHA-BOM: 9/10
-another one of the best. for some reason it really reminds me of "echo side" by ICP. though a completely different premise, really good story telling, really great beat, good rhyming and a good chorus.
DARKNESS: 7/10
-a good song, another deep one. but the fact that both verses are virtually unchanged kind of takes the quality out of it. good guitars, and surprisingly decent singing by both.

OVERALL: 147/190

5.0 out of 5 stars Twiztids 2nd best album, January 4, 2005
This review is from: The Green Book (Audio CD)
This is a fantastic album, where Twiztid were close to leaving Psychopathic Records and were changing image like no facepaint and were promoting the ill fated Majik Records, but everything went on good terms again and Twiztid stayed on Psychopathic.

Intro: Gets you ready for what instore, it's a rip off of Evil Dead 2. 5/5

On The Other End: Good opening track with a good beat and catchy chorus. 4/5

White Trash Wit Tat 2's: Ok track with good verses by Madrox and Monoxide: 3/5

Afraid Of Me: Classic track by Twiztid, excellent beat and great lyrics, anyone could like this track, one of the album highlights, a video was made for this track. 5/5

Wondering Why?: Produced by longtime ICP producer Mike.E Clark and it helps because the beat is excellent again and more great lyrics. 5/5

Call Me: It's just a skit leading up to I'm The Only One: 1/5

I'm The Only One: This one features Shaggy 2 Dope and it helps because it's anotha great track, all three rip the track up and Shaggy enters it perfectly. 5/5

Speculationz: This has E-40 on the track, Twiztid do good verses but then E-40 just tears them apart with the last verse, anotha excellent track. 5/5

The World Is Hell: Esham is on here and he is my favourite rapper and he makes it great like anything he does, but this isn't the original version and E wasn't on it, and it was better. 4/5

Nikateen: A short Monoxide solo, good beat but it's something your most likely to skip. 2/5

U Don't Wanna B Like Me: Great track with a cool beat and more good lyrics. 4/5

Serial Killa: Tech N9ne features here and this is the best song on here, all 3 destroy it, beat is good and the chorus is excellent. 5/5

Marsh Lagoon: Violent J is on here and he has the best verse and it is a good song, but the corny chorus ruins it, its a shame because it has an excellent beat and great lyrics. 4/5

Bobby's Dead: Good track with a nice gentle guitar solo in the middle. 4/5

Hydro: Layzie Bone on here and he and Twiztid Rip It Up, it wouldn't be a Twiztid album without a smoking weed song. 5/5

Frankenstein: Average song with Blaze. 3/5

Everybody Diez: With ABK and Bushwick Bill from Geto Boys, Twiztid are good as usual, but ABK is the worst rapper on Psychopathic and Bushwick is f*ckin awful on here. 2/5

Fat Kidz: Madrox solo better than Monoxide but anotha skipper.
2/5

Hom-Sha-Bom: Great track with weird lyrics and a good beat with tons of weird sounds goin on. 5/5

Darkness: The outro is more guitar and it's excellent, i love the lyrics on here, anotha excellent track, Jonathan Davis from Korn was supposed to be on here, but other work stopped him from appearing.

If you have a big bass system, well then your in for a treat because this is some fresh s*it, so get it.
