society's latest oxymoron, January 23, 2010
This review is from: Green Careers For Dummies (Paperback)
'Green Careers for Dummies' is society's latest oxymoron, as it's really for smart people who realize that we are, by necessity, transitioning to a green economy in which the jobs of both the near and distant future will require a different kind of worker who brings to the job the value and knowledge of environmental responsibility, along with the requisite array of soft/personal skills, deep subject matter knowledge, and technical skills. Carol McClelland does a wonderful job with this exciting new book, giving her readers the industry-centered information and resources they need to help begin the discovery of their very own green career niche. Highly recommended.

Green Moving Target, April 18, 2010
This review is from: Green Careers For Dummies (Paperback)
Carol McClelland, Ph.D. took on the challenge of capturing the current state of an industry that is exploding as the ink dries. She does an outstanding of job of revealing the most salient facts and terms as well as giving the reader the tools to continue resourcing trends to adapt their plans. Carol is able to guide the green career explorer because she has been part of the green revolution for years. She rests this knowledge of the emerging green economy on her solid base as a leader in career transition. I am a green career counselor myself and continually update myself through Carol's website, Green Career Central, as well as through the resources she outlines in this book.
