Can't eat memories,

10-year old restaurant guides, no matter how good they were at the time (and this one was VERY good AT THE TIME), are at best historical artifacts. Not only have some of these restaurants closed, but some have had chef/ownership changes and are simply not what they once were.

I'm sure this book was useful at one point, however too many of the reviews are for restaurants that no longer exist. (Note that I'm referring to the 2nd Edition.) Either wait for an updated edition, or use the interweb for more current info. To be fair, the reviews are well written and informative.
