1.0 out of 5 stars If you are a true Green Day fan, fanatic or anything, dont waste your money!!, July 22, 2005
This review is from: Green Day Suburbia bomb (DVD)
As like everyone else, i was super excited about this DVD. i got the express shipping and everything. All it is, is POGO PARADISE, an older DVD which sucked ass, which most of the information isnt ever 100% correct. It was such a dissapointment, and a huge let down. I wanted to cry when the title of the movie started and said POGO PARADISE. the only good thing about this DVD was the cover artwork. that was it. !!!!FORTUNATELY!!!! GREEN DAY will be releasing an AUTHORIZED dvd of their LIVE SOLD OUT SHOW at the milton keynes arena from europe. From the American Idiot tour... Im very excited, and i know for a fact it wont be a dissapointing DVD. www.greenday.net has small info on it.
DONT BUY THIS HISTORY OF GREEN DAY... horrible!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Bombed Out Of Description Of Words., July 22, 2005
This review is from: Green Day Suburbia bomb (DVD)
I had ordered this DVD before there were any reviews about it, and of course, there was no description of it. I was just so excited about this DVD, I had even bought it on the one-day-shipping agreement. So I turned it on, and after the beginning very short clip interview of Green Day, it of course shows the words, "Green Day Pogo Paradise" in very large words across the screen. I knew about Pogo Paradise, and people's personal opinoins about it, and well, it pretty much sucked ass. I was totally disappointed, and almost DEPRESSED that it was nothing good at all.

This is just Pogo Paradise, but with a different cover basically. And if you have no idea what Pogo Paradise is, look it up on Amazon, read the reviews, and you'll see how much people think it truly sucks; which it does.

To try and be optmistic, it does have a nice discography and picture gallery, but you know what? You can find discography and pictures on http://www.greendayauthority.com, http://www.greenday.com, and even research it, without wasting $15 dollars, excluding your internet bills. :) You can find even a better biography on one example, http://www.greendayauthority.com, and even more sites, which you can look up on google.

So save some extra money, and don't buy Pogo Paradise, nor Suburbia Bomb, unless you're a very preciest collector of Green Day.

1.0 out of 5 stars Suburbia Paradise..., September 19, 2005
This review is from: Green Day Suburbia bomb (DVD)
First of all I would like to say I'm not Karen Loyola I'm her 15 year old daugther... (In other words I'm bored so I wrote this)

I am a huge fan of Green Day but I have to say this sucked. Like everyone said it's like wrotten milk in a fancy cup of glass. The guys who made this are so lazy they didn't even remove the pogo paradise logo or add American Idiot to the library... I got ticked off at the cover it makes you think there are a lot of interviews with band and the truth is there's only like less than 5 minutes. The idiot who made this also put some crappy non-Green Day music...

Don't buy this unless you are a new big fan of Green Day, (and are willing to see something that is not 100% accurate) save your money for the new dvd. Anyways like they mentioned before Green Day Authority has better stuff. If you want some real documental stuff for free see vh1's driven-Green Day, cool band interviews on 100% on fuse and live perfomances and interviews on Storytellers (<-My personal favorite). Fuse has a lot of cool GD stuff including the making of Boulevard of Broken Dreams and American Idiot just go to Green Day Authority and check the GD on t.v.

There ya go you just saved about 16 bucks...

I don't know if it is mentioned but there's this guy who says Green Day is for all the freaks and misfits or something like that... It's like dude you are making a GD dvd... Who do you think see it reggae fans? The guy's not even punk... Maybe if he was it would be funny but it's not. Idiot...

1.0 out of 5 stars A TRUE BOMB!!!!, December 11, 2005
This review is from: Green Day Suburbia bomb (DVD)
If this had a rating of less than one star, I'd give it. This is a HUGE waste of money, there is no Green Day interviews, no performances, just a bunch of people talking about Green Day. A 12 year old kid could have made a better DVD. Don't buy this, buy Bullet in a Bible instead. I wish I had read the reviews before I wasted my money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Love Green Day? I Don't Think You'll Love This Doc., July 21, 2005
This review is from: Green Day Suburbia bomb (DVD)
I was so happy to hear that a new Green day Documentary was available. The cover looked awesome, and it seemed interesting, seeing what I read from the back label.
From the start, I thought it was dumb that no Green day music would be in the film.
I guess I could live with that, but then it got worse. How could they spell Billie's name as Bill-y? You'd think in a GREEN DAY DOCUMENTARY they would know how to spell Billie Joe's name. This DVD is actually the exact same DVD as POGO PARADISE, which costs around $30. The producers even left the original "Green Day: Pogo Paradise" logo in the movie. And you can tell it is older, because the discography only goes up to2002's "Shenanigans", and there is no info from American Idiot in it. And that DVD didn't get great reviews either. There is lame non-gd music in this, old pictures, and a mind numbing British narrator who only makes the pace slow down. The people being interviewed are just fans, and acquaintances of the band. The only notable person being interviewed is Winston Smith, the cover artist for the band's 4th album, Insomniac. The only cute interesting thing in this DVD was the interview with the band when Dookie came out. So basically, if you are a hardcore Green Day fan-like me-then you will want this. But if you want an interesting, colorful, fun Green Day documentary, than stick to
Vh1's Driven: Green Day.
This documentary sucks ass.

They don't tell you that this is exactly the same product as another dvd with a new wrapper and new name. It contains very little green day, just green day references, it's garbage.

1.0 out of 5 stars Well, don't blame the title for being brutally honest., October 25, 2007
This review is from: Green Day Suburbia bomb (DVD)
WARNING (pun most definitely intended) TO ALL GREEN DAY FANS:

This DVD is not what the cover says it is. This is really that trash DVD Pogo Paradise released under the name "suburbia bomb". And this hurts me because I'm a GD fan. And they don't even go up to American idiot or cut the Pogo Paradise logo out, the discography study stops at Shenanigans. They don't even use the band's music NOR covers, just some random punk music COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the band. They are even lazy enough to leave the "Pogo Paradise" title card in the movie, which is ABSOLUTELY cringe-worthy, and a taste of things to come throughout the movie. Another few things:

-The only time you ever see clips of the band is during the end credits, and hardly through the copyright stuff that plays on the screen at the same time.

-These guys hardly know Jack Schitt about the band, and the only thing they know is from what they read off of cue cards.

-One technical "engineer" mispronounces "Haushnika", then goes "or whatever the hell that song was called."

-And did I mention no music by the band?

So save your money unless you wanna waste it.
