5.0 out of 5 stars Green Eaters is a dream come true
This book is a true delight. It plants the seed of dialogue between you and your child about sustainable living conditions for farm animals. It's an engaging and fun read for the entire family. Thank you to the author for writing such an important and much needed book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
I like the premise of this book, and my kids loved the adorable animals. I only wish the book had been a bit more clear about the definition and purpose of an organic farm vs. a "regular" or conventional farm. I think it's important to introduce "green" vocabulary to children early on, and hoped this book would help. In the book, the animals were happy to move to the...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Young Children!, February 19, 2008
This review is from: The Green Eaters - A Dream Comes True (Paperback)
It is a heart warming picture book for babies and young children
that tells the story of five farm animal friends who
dream of a better life outside of Dreary Day Factory
farm. The book is fun, friendly, and entertaining way to introduce the
importance of organic living to children.

Introduce this in a group session where the children pick an animal they want to be: Curly,Franzy,Baily,Plucky and Gertie. It is an educational tool that can be fun while using their imagination.

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT READ TO READ TO THE YOUNG AND OLD, February 19, 2008
This review is from: The Green Eaters - A Dream Comes True (Paperback)
A wonderful book to read with your children, I have four 7 - 12yrs, and they love it, as did I. They wish there were farms like this for all animals. Don't we all. I was so impressed with the story that I have bought several more copies to send to my nieces and nephews in Australia who all live on "green farms". A great read, great message. Congrats to the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great baby and young kid's book with Green message, December 6, 2007

This is a very fun book that my 18 month old loves. He points at the animals and says "ooohhh" and "mooo" for the cow (or sometimes the horse which he also calls a "[d]oggie"! I also love the message about farm animals.

I like the premise of this book, and my kids loved the adorable animals. I only wish the book had been a bit more clear about the definition and purpose of an organic farm vs. a "regular" or conventional farm. I think it's important to introduce "green" vocabulary to children early on, and hoped this book would help. In the book, the animals were happy to move to the organic farm, but the book never articulated the difference between the two other than to say one was dirty and the other one wasn't. My kids liked it though, and it enabled me to start discussions with them about the humane treatment of animals. I thought the rhyming was a bit clunky, but it didn't bother my kids. I guess it's ultimately whether the kids like it that matters! A good start, but I hope to see better children's books on this topic in the future.
