Green Eyes Coneflower - Echinacea 'Green Eyes'
Family: Asteraceae
Origin: The species is native to the eastern United States.
'Green Eyes' looks like 'Ruby Giant' with deeper magenta flower color and a green disc center when young giving a green eyed look. This is a strong plant with long-lasting blooms which are fragrant.
Requires full sun and well-drained fertile soil. Drought resistant. Dead-heading will prolong the flowering period. Long-flowering daisies for the sunny border, prairie garden or wildflower meadow. Also used for cutflowers.

This review is from: Green Eyes Coneflower - Echinacea - Potted - Shocking!
I had to fight to keep a small plant alive but this one was a fighter and the bloom is starting to open, I can not wait to see it in its full glory. cone flowers bought online are very small for the price, going to Lowes you can find them in a large size and they come back year after year. And they will be blooming their first summer.
