Because I am insane, I decided to break down the actual costs of the paper towels that Amazon.com offers. It is hard to tell because of varying roll lengths, sheet sizes, and case quantities. In the end, I found them cheaper elsewhere, but if you are an Amazon loyalist and/or like Subscribe & Save, you may be tempted to order them anyway. [Subscribe & Save discount shown in brackets.]

These paper towels are as good as any cheaper paper towels; they are not cloth-like or super thick, but they are as good as any other paper towels you might find for the same price that aren't made of recycled materials. In short, they are cheap and better for the environment than non-recycled, chlorine-bleached products.

These paper towels are very very thin. They rip easily when using them to clean or when you try to pull them off the roll. The also don't have very many sheets per roll. I would recommend searching for another environmentally friendly brand.

I don't use paper towels for cleaning up large amounts of liquids, or the likes; that's what towels are for. These work great for me in the small uses, and I love the fact that it is recycled, as well as whitened without chlorine!

I would have loved to praise a product that is manufactured to
help the environment, but there is no substance to these paper towels. They melt away as soon as water hits them, so they are impractical to use.

Whether or not these paper towels are made from recycled products or not, they are the worst pt I've ever used. I was only using them for drying hands at the sink and they weren't even sturdy enough for that. They practically disolve in your hands. Sorry guys but you have to put a little more paper in your paper towels.

I absolutely love using these paper towels. When our grocery store stopped carrying these I looked online for these specific towels. They are a little more expensive for a paper towel; but, for me they are worth it. I use them quite a bit to clean mirrors and countertops. We have a glass table and these towels never streak...even on mirrors. I have found that some of the mainstream brands have many added chemicals (to make them more absorbant) and it really makes 'true' cleaning impossible and I do not want to spread any more chemicals around...

i like these paper towels and think they are pretty decent for a green product. no, they are not as fluffy as your regular bounty towel. but otherwise, they are just fine. i haven't tried too many other green paper towels, but I do like these better than scott, the store brand in our town (Meijer), or Marcal. These were more sturdy, a nice white color, and didn't have that weird cardboardy feel that some recycled products can have.

I started buying recycled paper towels and toilet paper rolls about six months ago. I learned that the vast majority of trees cut down in the US are used as bleached white toilet paper and paper towels; I used to think they were used for housing!

Since I would like to leave trees and foliage around the earth for my children and others to enjoy, after I am gone, I took the step to cut my overall use AND switch to recycled paper. The Green Forest products are competitively priced, Amazon gets it delivered to my door so I also save on gas, and the quality is pretty good. It isn't exactly like fresh killed tree toilet paper but it is very acceptable.

So I am recommending using recycled paper products in general and Green Forest products to date have worked for me. One can give back to the world by just using a little less and feel good about it!

These are thin and there are only a few sheets per roll. I highly recommend doing a search for recycled tissues on Amazon. I got a great price on Marcal recycled paper towels and they are great! Your best bet is to buy in bulk.
