5.0 out of 5 stars For the rest of us
I had to write a review to give my point of view. I almost didn't buy this book after reading the last reviewer's description. I found this to be a great book for those of us who is not an expert in Green Lantern Lore. It gave me some great background stories, I love some of the retro looks and bring back memory of older and not so old style of comic. I would...

3.0 out of 5 stars Be sure you want it
This TPB is a collection of stories that inspired Geoff Johns; it is not anything he actually wrote. So if you want stories that guided the current incarnation of Green Lantern, go for it. Otherwise you can do a lot better with something Geoff Johns actually wrote.

This review is from: Green Lantern: In Brightest Day (Paperback)
In Brightest Day will give anyone with even a casual interest in the Green Lantern stories a good solid look at how the writing and the characters have evolved over the years.

While there is nothing in this compilation with the power or significance of other titles, it is a decent entry point into the saga and will help people understand the nature of the GL's and the GL Corps.

Enjoy.
