Format: Paperback
I paged through several of these new softcover Green Lantern movie books, and to me this book is the best of the bunch!! You can't tell by the cover, but It's actually a handbook to the alien species who make up the Green Lantern Corps! The format is very similar to those DC Who's Who or Marvel Universe handbooks. Each page shows a nicely rendered illustration of the character and an easy-to-read bio and facts list. There's also a few pages explaining the ring and the lantern that powers the ring. These books are geared for young adults, but I am a huge Green Lantern fan in my 40s and I absolutely love this book! If I had to give this book one small negative comment...I wish that the illustrations were CG images of the actual aliens from the movie. But that's OK. For the price, it's an incredible little reference book for kids and adults alike!
