5.0 out of 5 stars Very Surprised September 27, 2011
Flavor Name:Oslo Orange|Amazon Verified Purchase
Very fast shipping from this supplier. It shipped from Arizona, so I expected to wait at least 5 business days and was thrilled when it arrived in two as I needed it in a pinch.

I've never reviewed a product on Amazon, but this one has made a difference in such a short amount of time, that I feel compelled to do so.

I'm a 34 year old mother to a wonderful 14 month old who is breastfed. I did develop some cavities and enamel loss despite adequate calcium intake. My insurance is major medical only, so filling cavities there's at least 6 on my bottom teeth is not in our budget. After extensive research, I started drinking raw grass-fed milk, making my own butter oil, and also purchased this product. I started drinking the milk a couple of months ago and if I miss a few days of drinking it, I get intense tooth pain. Since I've upped my milk intake considerably, started with the butter oil, and now the cod liver oil, my pain is completely gone. My top teeth are no longer loose, and I can actually see new enamel starting to develop over the small cavities!! I did not expect such a difference in such a short period of time.

I've also had some unintended awesome side effects. I've always suffered with acne, even as an adult. I don't really have it now because of the breastfeeding, but I have dark marks from scarring and I also worked as a landscaper, so I've developed a rougher, sun damaged texture. My skin has dramatically changed. The texture is much much smoother, pores are smaller, wrinkles lessened. I can't believe it. The downside is I would definitely recommend sunscreen and do not exfoliate! It's only been a short time, so I can't wait to see how much better it gets in a month or so. It's also increased my energy, I find I need much less coffee in the morning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, Poor Reviews October 13, 2012
Flavor Name:Cinnamon Tingle
Other than being a little expensive, the product is good. But all the reviews I have read have been poor (not that I am a great reviewer). Here is my view:

1. This product has a fresh smell and taste. It doesn't smell like dead fish. It tastes like a cooking oil with a slight fishy oil taste mixed with whatever flavor. I had the Chocolate Cream, which is no longer offered.

2. This product IS AN OIL! I read so many reviews about people chasing it with water or orange juice or whatever - sorry, oil and water don't mix. I chase it with chocolate milk or hot chocolate or something with an EMUSLIFIER in it, so that it dissolves the oil off the tongue. I also read tons of reviews about how finicky people play games trying to eat it. I just keep mine at room temperature and pour it out on an ordinary tablespoon, and spoon the whole thing into my mouth and swallow, no problem. Then take a drink of chocolate milk, and the oil is all gone from my mouth. Simple. It's not bad at all. But it will linger in the mouth if you don't do something to chase it, and that is not particularly tasty.

3. Personally, I was having gum problems. A year ago, I fell asleep exhausted with some chewy breakfast fruit bar in my mouth, and woke up with a hell of a gum infection, and over a year, no amount of flossing, water-piking, and brushing would cure. I got rid of the "big" infection, but I remained with inflammed gums regardless of care, and they receeded a bit too. After taking this product for 3 days, they are completely healed after a year of non-stop war to keep my mouth clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm going to cheat a little June 10, 2010
By jobert
Flavor Name:Oslo Orange
Sorry Amazoners, but I am going to cheat a little here. I have had this brand of cod liver oil, but not the Oslo Orange flavor. I had the cinnamon tingle, which doesn't seem to be listed for sale on Amazon yet. I'll post this review in the hopes that they put cinnamon tingle up.

If you are going to buy CLO, and you can afford it, buy the cinnamon tingle! The flavor is not as bad as I thought it would be. The cinnamon tingle did not have a fishy taste, although every now and then I would get a whiff of fishy smell. It basically tastes like Big Red gum or cinnamon flavored hard candies. And you only need 1/2 tsp for a daily dose, so it is very manageable.

I haven't had Oslo Orange, but if they did as good of a job disguising the fishy taste in Orange as they did with Cinnamon, I would bet the taste will be fine.

If you can't afford this, I recommend Carlson's lemon flavored CLO. And the best price you will find for that ANYWHERE is right here on Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality September 30, 2011
Flavor Name:Cinnamon Tingle|Amazon Verified Purchase
Anyone looking to buy Cod Liver Oil should know how it is processed. Any type of distillation or other heat treating will destroy some of the nutritional value of the oil. This CLO is fermented which gives it its unique smell and flavor. I freely admit, fermented CLO is not very pleasant to smell or taste. With the cinnamon tingle, it is not as bad. Enjoy the full benefits of CLO by buying Green Pasture. Lastly, my bottle came with a syringe which makes measuring and dispensing much easier.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cinnamon Fermented cod liver oil/butter oil November 29, 2012
Flavor Name:Cinnamon Tingle
If you buy this from Amazon you are paying too much. It's 50 bucks to buy directly from Green Pastures. I took my first dose last night and did the refrigerated (but I didn't have time to let it sit in the fridge for more than 15 minutes so it was kina runny still) and butter knife method. It wasn't that bad. I even dared to stick my finger in the glob that fell on the counter and eat that (for that price I'm getting every last drop). The cinnamon is really strong but no fish. I HATE the taste of all fish and seafood so that's saying a lot that I couldn't taste it. I followed it up with hot chocolate to try to wash the taste down. The cinnamon lingers for a while afer even with brushing my teeth and using mouth wash afterwards.

I will update as I see health benefits appear.

Not the best taste, but tolerable. My girls (8 and 7) take it under their tongue. A great way to get your omega 3 and Vitamin D.
