I have owned several juicers over the years including Acme, Champion, and Juiceman II. Since the latter was what I replaced with the Green Power I will use it to make my comparison. The Juiceman is a good middle of the road juicer but we decided to upgrade when my wife became ill. We wanted one that could juice wheatgrass, and provided a better quality juice than the Juiceman. After researching we went with the Green Power.

Pro: the Green Power does provide a better quality juice. The pulp is much drier, the juice keeps longer, and it does a pretty fair job with wheatgrass. The Juiceman produces a wetter pulp and will not juice wheatgrass.

Con: not easy to clean. The Juiceman takes about two minutes and you're done, the Green power has more parts, smaller screens and just takes longer. Also,the juicer itself needs to be cleaned where the twin screws attach. Complicated. If you want carrot apple juice you have to replace screens in the middle of juicing. The Juiceman juices fruits and vegetables without the need to change screens. The Green Power requires taking off the vegetable screen and replacing it with a fruit screen. This is messy and time consuming, plus it doesn't do a great job with fruit. Pulpy. The Green Power juice is very pulpy no matter how much you tighten down the pulp adjustor. A strainer is advised.

One other issue I have with the Green Power is it occasionally will spurt juice and pulp up through the feeder tube if you are juicing wet vegetables like cucumbers. So the juicer and counter have a nice coating of juice and pulp. Having said all this, the quality of the juice may well overide all these other issues and I may find some of them are correctable over time (I've been using the Green Power for a couple of months).

I've owned my Green Power KPE 1304 Juicer for over 18 months now. Our family juices 3-4 times a week and we like to think of ourselves as seasoned pro's.

We juice wheatgrass on a regular basis and found that the machine works flawlessly making pretty much all juices. Our family is very health conscience and wanted a juicer that would make our favorite juices, be easy to clean and last a couple days before going bad, that is if we don't drink it all that same day.

I researched many different juicers including the Green Star and the Green Power Gold and learned that these models where a much older design from the mid 90's which has not been updated and had a few drawbacks. The Green Power 1304 is the latest design and I am telling you this because I was initially completely confused as Tribest tried to tell me that the Green Star and Green Power Gold where the latest and best models available which was completely untrue.

I contacted Kitchen's Best customer service and kept the kind lady on the phone with all of my silly questions for well over half an hour. I really appreciated the time that she spent with me. I really do not like to be "sold" over the phone and I clearly felt that she just wanted to help me find the right juicer. She e-mailed me the Green Power history chart which clearly showed the evolution of the Green Power/Green Star Juicers which was very helpful.

Our family totally loves the juicer! The kids enjoy having fun creating different juices and clean up is fairly easy if you clean it right away.

I highly recommend the juicer and the company's customer service is always fantastic. I have now purchased multiple times from this company and it has been a great experience. If you are looking to make soy, nut and rice milk I also recommend the NEW 2009 Soymilk Maker - SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P My best purchase this year.

I upgraded from a low end centrifugal juicer and I'm very satisfied. Easy to operate and I was surprised to see that it works better with bigger veggie/fruit pieces so much less time chopping! To clean it I soak the parts in warm soapy water while I drink my juice and then scrub them with the included multi-brush, not much more difficult than the centrifugal. One unexpected mechanical quirk - the manual recommends allowing the motor to cool for ~5 minutes after ~25 minutes of juicing, the unit does slightly warm up during operation. I love it regardless and the juice tastes great!

I have owned this juicer for about 8 months now. I love it, it's easy to clean, and the pulp is very dry. We juice about 4-5 times per week. I am juicing carrots and leafy greens mostly. I also do wheatgrass. I am very satisfied with it. It does not do fruits that well, but it's possible to juice them as well. I feel that it makes excellent juice from vegetables. I highly recommend the juicer. I think it's money well spent because you are saving money on the produce. Plus it comes with 10 year warranty.

I've had this juicer for a few months and it is used about 5 times a week. The juice is clear and delicious--I make a combination of carrot, celery, beet, ginger and a rotation of greens. Even the fact that one has to use a little muscle to push down the carrots is very satisfying. Cleaning the juicer is not at all difficult with the cleaning brush that comes with it. All in all, I am extremely pleased with it and would highly recommend it. Also I had to communicate with Kitchen's Best several times and their very pleasant and professional attitude was very refreshing.

I was very pleased with my Kempo juicer until the motor went kaput. Now I am trying to contact the company to get the juicer serviced and have gotten nowhere. The only phone numbers I can find lead to companies that make similar juicers with similar names. Now I'm wishing I invested in one of their juicers so I could get it fixed.

A Ten Year Warranty doesn't do a bit of good if you can't use it.

I have called local fix-it places and they say that they can't fix the juicer because Kempo won't supply the parts.

Beware.

I bought a Kempo Juice Extractor from this company because i liked the idea of twin gears but i didn't want a HUGE machine - the Kempo was small. And I thought since it cost hundreds of dollars, it surely would be a good machine. I was quickly disillusioned and disappointed.

It developed a crack under the area where the gears attach and then the gears broke on the plastic part. When I called the company, a man with an accent answered. I told him about the two problems and he panicked. I figured he had already received several similar calls that day.

He tried to tell me it was my fault because I must have put the gears together incorrectly. I assured him I had read the instructions very carefully and had been very careful to match the dots on the gears. He said, "Use SuperGlue to fix the crack." I couldn't believe that he had said that; it sounded so unprofessional. Quite frankly, I felt sorry for him. I figured this must be a start-up company that was going broke due to a bad design and bad engineering. I was afraid to send the machine back, afraid they would use SuperGlue. I put the juicer away for years and bought another one instead.

Now, I am unhappy with myself for giving up so easily. I was foolish to not ask for what I needed - and deserved - according to my rather sizable investment and the guarantee. Another reviewer said she had encountered bad customer service from this company as well... in fact, no service. I dragged the Kempo out of the closet today and used it. I think the problems that it had all those years ago have made it very inefficient. I hesitate to invest in another set of gears, as I fear the crack has ruined the alignment so that even new gears will break. I see Hippocrates Institute is pushing this machine. It's so quiet and easy. Juices everything! My Mom's a Raw Vegan Chef (Chef Sara) and swears by it. It's the only juicer she will use.
