It could have been my fault for not looking into this book more before I ordered it, but it was not what I expected. Lowe, a Christian college graduate, does a good job of describing many of the experiences he has seen and gone through firsthand pertaining to the environment. If you are interested in eventually making big waves as a Christian environmentalist this book is for you. Lowe describes how best to go about being that change in society, to the point where it gets almost redundant. I felt as if many chapters ended up droning on about either himself or the many Christian colleges making a difference. I understand they are/have the ability to be the young leaders of but there is plenty of other great institutions. To be fair, he does bring a few other colleges and instiutions up but he continually sticks with Christian based ones.

If you, like me, are more looking for a book that helps guide young men and women of faith to be able to really apply eco-friendly practices in their dorm, apt, house, etc. then this book is not for you.

Ben Lowe's Green Revolution is an important and timely reminder of the mandate to care for God's creation. The God who reconciles us to Himself through Christ is also reconciling all things, including the natural environment that He has created, and Lowe reminds us that we have the privilege and the responsibility to be a part of that reconciliatory work. With stories and case studies that drive the point home, Lowe provides lucid, theologically sound insight into our present situation and practical ideas for moving forward. All that, and it's an enjoyable, compelling read. I highly recommend it.

This is a book that's been needed for a LONG time! Ben is inspirational, informative, and even occasionally witty in his call to action. Every Christian college student should read this book, then go outside and DO something about the environment. Good job Ben!

This is an amazing book! It meets you where you are no matter what you think or where you are in your environmental stance. It is strong and challenging, yet not pushy. Somehow Lowe is able to include personal stories, scientific facts, lofty visions, as well as practical ideas, and is able to support it with sound biblical theology. I would highly recommend this book!

This is a very good book for those interested in even more motivation to care for God's creation. It has many great examples from the author's journey as an up and coming leader in this movement for American Christians. I have hope that more will pick this up and implement best practices from other organizations mentioned in the book in their own settings to create change.

This book is a great testament to how God is bringing his kingdom and restoration to THIS EARTH right now.

I strongly recommend this book. I really enjoyed learning about the creation care movement through Ben Lowe's expert knowledge of the subject. This book is specific about pratical ways that the reader can make a positive difference in his or her environment. The narrative is filled with real-life examples and applications of the principles that Ben puts forth. While this book is written from a strong Christian perspective, it should be accessible to anyone who wants to learn about enviornmental issues. I really enjoyed reading it, and I think you will too.

Ben Lowe is putting an end to the idea that environmentalism is just a secular issue. "Green Revolution" gives us a much needed reminder of the Christian responsibility to be active stewards of creation. I recently read this book with a group of college students and found it stimulating, challenging, and motivating. The balance of scientific information and personal narrative make this a very readable book. I highly recommend reading "Green Revolution".
