Amazing recovery and a Mother's dedication and love for her son.,
This review is from: The Green Room: A Mother's Truth (Paperback)
I was completely inpired by Mark's amazing spirit and his mother's incredible devotion. She was by his side every day and never lost hope that he would recover and become the man he once was. As a mother of sons, I felt connected to the author and her story. Throughout his hospital stay, a dedicated and caring group of his SEAL brothers, family and friends remained by his side as his amazing recovery took place.

INSPIRING TALE OF THE POWER OF LOVE AND WILLPOWER,
By Derek McD (CA, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Green Room: A Mother's Truth (Paperback)
Don't let the grainy cover photograph fool you, this book is a must read for anyone in need of inspiration. The author's son, Marcus Colburn, was a member of the elite U.S. Navy SEALs' parachute team, the Leap Frogs, when he fell 3,000 feet during a training exercise gone wrong. His mother tells the story of his life before and after the accident, as well as his death-defying recovery. Whether you're a member of Oprah's Book of the Month club or a steely-eyed Delta Force commando, this book will move you. With a broken body and severe brain trauma, Marcus was not expected to survive. I won't give it all away, but trust me, his story will give you some real perspective on the power of the human mind, and the paltry problems most of us think we have. And his mother's story is just as powerful...read the book and you'll understand, maybe for the first time, what 'a mother's love' really means.
