I agree with almost all of the positive comments in all of the reviews on the Green Sprout bibs. However, I am knocking down their rating because I think it is misleading that they did not explicitly, clearly, state what Stage these bibs are. Green Sprouts I believe has 4 stages of bibs: Stage 1 I think is for infants, Stage 4 is for toddlers ages 12 to 24 months. I was looking for a large toddler bib (Stage 4). I had no idea there were different "Stages" of bibs - I ordered this because the pictures made the bib look adequate, and one of the postings said that these are too big for a new born. When I received the bibs, the label says there are 4 stages. Of course, I had gotten the wrong one. Boo to Green Sprouts and Amazon- very tricky. They need to clearly label the size/stage of bib in this Amazon advertisement.
For parents who are looking for a great bib for an infant - this is a fantastic bib, the best around. If your baby is 12 to 24 months, may need to look for a Stage 4. I have yet to find one on line. Amazon doesnt seem to sell them.

These bibs are the best I've tried so far (out of about 6 different brands). I have purchased at least 3 sets of 10, in both the boy and girl colors.

Pros:

-beautiful, color-fast colors
-big variety of colors in one 10-pack. I can always find a bib to match whatever outfit he is wearing.
-absent of cutesy distracting baby designs and obnoxious patterns. My 16-month old has been wearing bibs all day every day for a year, and I very quickly got tired of seeing bibs with "MONKEY BOY" or "POWER DROOLER" all over them. They are a part of his wardrobe, and I want them to be as inconspicuous as possible.
-soft
-absorbent
-truly water resistant: there is a waterproof layer sandwiched between the two layers of terry cloth
-strong velcro
-both the fabric AND the velcro stay perfectly flat after repeated washings, rather than buckling or curling from the dryer like many others I have gone through
-the strong velcro STAYS strong after repeated washings, not getting weaker or with repeated use or exposure to the dryer (also like many others I have gone through)
-perfect size...not too big, not too small
-really decent price for a pack of 10 in my opinion

Considerations:

-You must make sure that the velcro is closed (scratchy velcro half fastened to the soft half of the velcro) when you wash them with other delicate fabrics, like a satin-feel baby blanket, or the very strong velcro will catch those delicate materials. To me, this is a common-sense laundering issue, not a product flaw, hence my rating of 5 stars. You also have to make sure the velcro is fastened well (that the two pieces match up, no overlapping, etc.) when you put it on your baby.

Unlike the earlier reviews (from 2009), these bibs do have the plastic barrier between two layers of terry. My son has terrible reflux and we were going through 6+ bibs per day, as well as 4 outfits per day. I found these bibs and they are GREAT! We like them so much that we ordered a second 10-pack! We still go through multiple bibs per day, but that's because he spits up so much, that the bibs get heavy. They will soak through at the neck if that's where the baby spits up, but otherwise they are great. They are waterproof, where the liner is, so that part will not soak through. The velcro on these bibs is very strong, if we forget to attach the velcro before washing, they will get stuck to other items in the wash. Also, the instructions say not to dry them, but as other reviewers have pointed out, we have thrown ours in the dryer on low without any problems (since we go through multiple bibs).

Overall, they are a good buy, and we are very glad we found them!

Our son has reflux. We go through 24+ bibs a week and we own multiple styles and brands of bibs. But these are our absolute favorites.

These are soft like a cloth bib, but unlike a cloth bib they don't get my son's clothes wet when they soak up his spitup. They keep his clothes dry like a plastic-backed bib, but don't make that annoying crinkling noise and you can dry them in the dryer. They're bright and cheery and you get a lot of them for the price. The velcro is incredibly strong and they stay where they're put.

My only issues with them are that the neck size is a bit large for a small baby. Our son was 7 weeks old when we got these and they were too big. He still has room to grow into them now at 3.5 months. Also, you need to prep them before first use. Some of the colors bleed, and if you put them in with your laundry right away it'll be ruined. Handwash each bib separately before your first use and you're good to go.

My son is very drooly, and I was also tired of all the "message" bibs that clashed with his outfits. I have only used these for a few days, but they seem to be waterproof so far. The label says do not tumble dry, which might be a hassle to some people. Also, the bright colors will run when washed at first (I hand washed them the first time since I was afraid of this.)
