5.0 out of 5 stars Best Green Supplement out there--and I've tried them all
I've probably spent $2,000 in my life, trying every vegetable juice powder on the market. I've even purchased a few brands that were upwards of $60 per bottle. I have to say, Gary's Green Stuff delivers. Gary's formula contains VEGETABLES, and no fillers like maltodextrin, lecithin, and acidophilus, all of which have absolutely no business being in a vegetable juice...

1.0 out of 5 stars They changed the formula and it now tastes DISGUSTING
My nutritionist had recommended this product partially because it was actually a pretty good tasting green supplement, and he had tried a whole bunch of them. Unfortunately for some reason, Gary Null decided to change a good formula and the "new and improved" version tastes ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. Luckily for me I managed to find the old formula at Vitamin Shoppe, but I...

I've probably spent $2,000 in my life, trying every vegetable juice powder on the market. I've even purchased a few brands that were upwards of $60 per bottle. I have to say, Gary's Green Stuff delivers. Gary's formula contains VEGETABLES, and no fillers like maltodextrin, lecithin, and acidophilus, all of which have absolutely no business being in a vegetable juice concentrate. Not to say probiotics and lecithin are bad things. But if you want to take them to address a certain condition, then fine. But when you buy a vegetable juice powder, wouldn't you want VEGETABLES?!?

Many of the products I see out there these days contain stevia. Why?!? So your greens can taste abnormally sweet with a strange bitter aftertaste? No thank you. Gary's Green Stuff doesn't include any of that nonsense, and it actually works.

I was surprised at the 2009 comments on the taste of the Green Stuff. At any rate, the 2010 version is further improved and now has a slightly lemony flavour.
It's the best-tasting vegetable powder I have found so far (Admittedly, that's not saying much.)
Still, my recommendation is to mix 1 heaping teaspoon of green stuff with one level spoon of Red Stuff (fruit powder), as well as adding 2 teaspoons of your favourite frozen juice concentrate per cup of water (e.g. strawberry or lime); while still not a gourmet food item, it's quite decent in this combination.

Luckily for me I managed to find the old formula at Vitamin Shoppe, but I don't know what I'm going to do after the old formulas leave the shelf. sigh! Why tinker with a good thing? My nutritionist is quite upset about this as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gary Null's NEW and Horrible Green Stuff, September 29, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Green Stuff Powder 200 Grams (Health and Beauty)
Up until recently, I was enjoying Gary Null's Green Stuff for over 17 years. Drank it with water, and it was a GREAT product. A few months ago, I ordered some more, and the first thing, I noticed was the container was only 60% full, but when I drank it, I spit it out, thinking I had gotten a bad spoiled batch.
So I opened another one, and....same awful taste.

My questions to web site went unanswered, and when I spoke to someone at one of his health vitamin closets, they mentioned that it was a new manufacturer and new taste.

I gave him my review, and said, after 17 years, I will never buy this product again...what a shame.

I have since bought GREENS PLUS, and use it in water, with a little Blueberry Pomegranate, and it's very good tasting.
I don't understand how Gary could change the product so drastically.....for the worse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cherries!, May 26, 2011
This review is from: Green Stuff Powder 200 Grams (Health and Beauty)
I've been using the new Green Stuff a few times a week for a couple of months and I really like the taste and effects. Tastes like cherries! And I see a nice difference in my complexion. I just ordered the Red Stuff...Despite the 'quackery" barbs thrown at Gary Null, I do believe an inventor who's not a traditional scientist can find good ideas - that he is independent of the big pharmacy companies is a plus, in my book. Food is usually the best medicine...I think some of the criticisms are (pardon the expression) sour grapes.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2010 version much improved, December 15, 2010

Not only does the new Green Stuff contain a whopping 10,000 Orack Units (!!!!!), more than any other product out there, but the flavor is a nice berry flavor, even kids like it!

The previous reviews about the awful taste are from an older version, it has now been improved greatly.

Contains dozens of great vegetable concentrate, including Broccoli sprouts, arugula, collared greens, and much more, and also plenty of protein containing spirulina and chlorella.

You can live on this stuff if you had to!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, October 6, 2007

I can't believe how awful this tastes. I am a vegetable lover and figured it would taste like vegetables but it doesn't it tastes like grass with dirt. I have tried it in juice but even the smallest dose mixed with juice makes it undrinkable. Now it sits on my shelf reminding me that I need to try things before shelling out big bucks on a huge container. Maybe I will toss it and quit torturing myself, because I can't imagine trying it again.
