This is a perfectly sized truck - not a tiny little thing, but not a huge, cheap piece of plastic either. It is very sturdy and durable and a substantial toy for my almost 3 year old. We don't like toys with batteries and lights and sounds, we prefer toys where the kids have to use their imagination, and these are perfect. We have all the Green Toys trucks, and also many of their other toys, like the tool box and the tea set. This stuff will last forever and can take a serious beating and still be fine. I love that it is made from recycled materials and I feel good knowing there are no chemicals in it either. It is made in the US and the package is recycled cardboard, and minimally packaged, so you don't get all those little twist ties, and tape and things that make it impossible to get out of the box. The baby chews on it occasionally and I don't have to worry that she is sucking on chemicals. Great truck, great company.

I bought this for my nephew for his first birthday. I love that it is made in the USA out of recycled milk jugs. However, buyers please be aware that the wheels do not roll on hardwood floors which was disappointing to find out. It did however, work well on carpet. I'm not sure about other surfaces. I imagine it would work well outside as well.

This would be an amazingly sturdy toy firetruck just by itself, but the fact that it's made in the US from recycled milk jugs is incredible. The truck is really really sturdy and very well built. It's a little more expensive but totally worth it!!

Loved the look and feel of this toy, and was sorely disappointed to have to return it. We have hardwood floors throughout the house, and the truck won't roll on them. Silly design of the wheels create friction on the sides of the truck preventing it from rolling easily. If you have carpeting--go for it. It's got a great-looking, cartoon-y design and it seemed quite durable. If Green Toys were to fix this easily-fixable problem, I'd buy another.

I ordered this toy for my 3 year old nephew for Christmas, and I love it so much I'll be ordering another for my 2 month old son (he can enjoy it when he's older!). It seems very sturdy and well made, and it's an attractive toy. The plastic has a matte finish, and the overall design is great. I hate those ugly, mass-produced "Made in China" pieces of garbage found at most toy stores, and I worry about the BPA, lead, or toxins that are routinely found in those sorts of toys. I love that this toy is made in the USA, with strict quality-control so that I don't have to worry about that. My nephew could eat off this thing, it's so clean. I also like that there aren't any small parts that could come off and be swallowed by my other nephew, who is 10 months and puts everything he finds into his mouth! All in all, this is a great toy at a great price.

We love all of the Green Toys trucks! The bebe is 10-months-old, and loves things with wheels. He loves bright colors too. And he loves that the ladders come off and go back on. So much fun!

I, of course, love that these close the recycling loop by utilizing recycled plastic to make really cool, really sturdy toys. And made in the U.S.! I'm planning on making more of these into gifts for other little kids we know.

I want to add, too, that the packaging on these is my favorite toy packaging OF ALL TIME.

As a kid at Christmas, I always just wanted to play with the toy, already! Instead, there were tape seals to cut through, numerous wires to untwist, plastic tabs to unclasp. ARRRGH! But with these trucks, you just pull open the cardboard flap and roll the truck out of the box. Then you put the box in the recycling bin. It's like magic.

My son (almost 1 year old) really enjoys pushing this truck around! It's a rich red, not bright red, which I like. I will be requesting more green toys for my son. I'm especially fond of that it's made in the USA!

They are essentially the same in terms of quality and enjoyment factor. The firetruck's ladder is cool. It works simply in that it can swivel and move up & down, but it doesn't extend. As a result the ladder is really sturdy, but can still be used effectively. As others have mentioned (and I in my other review) these don't roll well at all on hard, slippery surfaces such as wood or linoleum. They do however roll just fine on rugs/carpet.

I definitely recommend this toy. A year on and my 3 yr old son still loves playing with it.

My children (I have 4 young ones) received this for Christmas and they love it. It appears to be durable. I appreciate the minimal packaging it came in and all the packaging is recyclable. I know I'll recommend this company to any parents of small children.

Thos is one of the best toys we've bought for grandkids. We really like the exceptional quality and sturdiness. It being made in USA is an added plus.
