Wow this product was easy to grow. I just filled a shallow container with some soil spread the seeds out on top covered the seeds with a little more soil and watered thoroughly but not enough to make it swampy. and these seeds took off! In just a few days I had 1 inch spoutings everywhere. In a couple more days they were around 4 inches. By the 10th day they were almost fully grown. The cats I grew this for thoroughly enjoy it. Heck I had to numerously protect the sproutings from the cats it was just so enticing to them. Just remember to keep the soil moist and not to let it dry out or the grass will wilt and fall over. But not to worry watering it should bring it back in a day or two.

This product exceded my exspectation. i have never really been able to grow much, i have killed countless plants, and many others never even grew. so i was exspecting a 50% chance they wouldnt grow. so imagine my surprise when the secound day they were already sprouting. My 3 cats love them, wich was surprising becuase only one had been eating my house plants. Althugh he sometimes will nibble on my other plants he sems to not enjoy it as much and mostly sticks to the cat grass. i would recomend this to anyone with cats why wants to protect the few plants they still have alive. It also has been fun for kids to watch and participate in planting the seeds and watching the cats enjoy them.

For the price I bought 10 packets to stock up. Big mistake. They all expire in 3 months! I planted half a packet and hardly any seeds sprouted. A big disappointment and a waste of my money. I would love to exchange the dead seed packets for some that may sprout with a better expiration date.

I planted the seeds and in less than a week, there was sprouting. The grass grows tall. My cat and both dogs can't get enough of it.

I smoothed out a thin layer of compost on a large dinner plate and gently pressed in a layer of these seeds. I watered the whole thing liberally and set it by the window. The seeds started sprouting after 3-4 days and another 3 days later I had plush grass for my 2 kitties to chew on. Something must be wrong with these cats, though, because they didnt' eat the grass; they played with them like they were pieces of string and left dirt all over my floor. Thanks, ya little jerks. Anyway, the seeds grew as promised, and couldn't be easier to grow. Good product! Just don't waste them on defective kitties!

Make sure you follow the instructions, water, leave in shade until the sprouts are out, then move to a sunny area. The grass grew really quickly, within 2 days there were sprouts, I really wanted to give it to the cats when it was about 2 inches high, so I brought it indoors and they immediately started pulling the grass seedlings out. So I figured I'd wait until they were a little taller. I waited 2 more days and the grass grew about an inch a day.

All I can say is that next time I'll start a second batch in a few days after the first one, and I'll also add more seeds to make it thicker.

Word of warning, if you leave it for the cats all day, they will eat it ALL DAY!! I took it away from them after 5 minutes and they had eaten the whole pot down to 2 inches of grass!!

I also ordered the catnip and the kitty garden but I haven't planted them yet. Will leave a review from my cats when I do.

My cats love this stuff! We plant it outside (enclosed area) in the warmer weather and inside in the winter for them. One cat begs to go outside just to eat her oat grass.

My cats love the grass. Now they leave my other plants alone. I only put it out as a treat while we play in the evenings. They would eat it all if I left it out and up to them on when to quit! Grows quickly and tall and is VERY idiot proof! Had no trouble getting it to TAKE off! Don't plant it too deep though!. About the only mistake you can make with this grass!!

The seeds I received were $2.99 - the retail price on the package is $1.39. The seeds expire 12/2010 - the same month I ordered them. Since the seeds had over 100% mark up, and $3.99 shipping, I definietly would not recommend this purchase to anyone.
