This book takes you on journeys and explorations of the early part of the last century (and before) as Modern Medicine moved into an industry and away from herbalists and apothecaries. However, it shows, that in fact Medicine had returned to these roots, stems, barks, leaves, flowers and other plant parts to look for molecular compounds that would help treat disease. Often native peoples folklore helped direct thee explores to the specimens to collect. The book is hard to find but a good read. Zen of Watering Your GardenIs a book I put together. As you look at the flowers in the garden think about the nearly endless compounds in all the beauty of Mother Nature. Matt Cohen

Anyone interested in the connection between healing herbs and the Medical world should read this book. An excellent read. I reccommend the poem inside.
