THIS IS THE BEST ORGANIC CONTROL OF BLACK SPOT OF ROSES HERE ON CAPE COD MASSACHUSETTS. I HAVE USED SODIUM BICARBONATE (BAKING SODA) IN THE PAST FOR GOOD CONTROL -- HOWEVER, OVER TIME, THE SODIUM BUILT UP IN THE SOIL -WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR MY PLANTS.

I have trouble with thinning bones and tend to run an acidic ph (testing with ph paper). The potassium bicarbonate helps my body maintain an alkaline ph thus helping to preserve my bones. An acidic body leaches the bones of alkaline minerals so as to buffer the blood. However, this is at the expense of the bones. The potassium bicarbonate is bitter tasting, so I mix half sodium bicarbonate with half potassium bicarbonate.

I saw an article at the Life-Enhancement.com site about potassium Bicarbonate. It seems to help bring down blood pressure. You have to be careful if you take potassium sparing diuretics or Lisinopril or Metaprolol type medicines. Look up the interview with Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw for more info. They have a potassium bicarbonate product there for less than $10, but otherwise, it is a hard to find product. This bag of 1 pound of Potassium Bicarbonate seems like a good deal. The dosage, they said, was about 4 capsules a day to lower blood pressure, which is about 4 quarter teaspoons or 1 teaspoon a day. Look it up!

This has been advertised as plant food. I am going to mix mine with other needed nutrients and try to alkalize my body, eliminating excess acid, and increasing my immune system. This has been suggested by Drs. Young (pH Miracle) in California.

I am very happy with this product from GreenSense. It was delivered in much less time than was predicted and it is exactly what I wanted - potassium bicarbonate in an easy to dissolve crystaline form. I use this for a first in the morning wake-up tonic. I mix 1/4 tsp K-bicarb + 1/4 tsp NA-bicarb (baking soda) into 8 ounces of clean, safe-to-drink water. The bicarb's dissolve perfectly at room temperature and I drink 4 ounces first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. For me, the result is a very quick (within 2 minutes) end to all residue of "sleepiness" with no side effects and no need for caffeine or anything else to get me happy to start a new day !! Thank you GreenSense for making this excellent product so easily available :-D

I am concerned that people are recommending eating this product. It is not labeled food grade. Read the label - it is a garden product.

*After reading the comments, I changed my rating to 5 stars instead of 3. I do not use this product, I was only trying to draw attention to the fact that this is not meant to be eaten. It wasn't the manufacturer's fault that reviewers are posting this use.
