This review is from: Greene: Revolutionary General (Military Profiles) (Paperback)
As Siry has stated, Greene served Washington throughout the war. He enlisted as a private in the Rhode Island militia and quickly advanced to Major General. He was also Washington's Quartermaster General, and led the victorious Southern campaign in which Cornwalis's Army was bloodied and most of North and South Carolina was liberated. He had a keen intellect and learned much of his techniques through book learning and observing. His southern strategy of both set piece battles and partisan activity predated later victors like Mao and Ho Chi Ming.

This is an OK read about a patriot American who helped win the Revolutionary War. There is little investment in time for a quick and enjoyable read about this revolutionary general.
