Received the kickstand yesterday, installed within 15 minutes. It is pretty intuitive to install, or you can just look at the product picture to figure it out. The quality of the machined parts is very good. The paint or powder coating is high quality, and the 285mm length was just right for my 56 size frame. I bought this style because my bike has the shift cable coming up through the frame where a normal kickstand would go. Only downside is that it seems a little heavier than 340 grams. Of course that does not matter much since I am not after the lightest bike possible, and the weight is carried very low. No more leaning the bike against a picnic table and wondering if it will stay!

Great kickstand, very stable, easy to put on, and light weight. I first tried a kickstand that goes on the frame between the wheels. My bike didn't have a bolt hole for a kickstand, so in spite of using locktite the kickstand would loosen up every time I used it. This one has never loosened up, and it looks like it can be used on any bike.

Kickstand is well made, strong, and durable. The installation is intuitive if your a slightly mechanically inclined person. BUT, it comes with no instructions whatsoever, nor is there the phone number of the manufacturer in case you have a question, or if product arrives missing parts. I put it on a full suspension mountain bike, all the way to the rear, and it supports the bike beautifully.

Great kickstand, I carry an extra 25 lbs of radio over my rear wheel and my center kickstand was not cutting it as it was constantly falling over and since the stereo is homemade that wouldn't do. Received it quickly and I am very pleased with my purchase. It was easy to install the only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it did not come with instructions. However, after a couple manuvers around on the frame I was able to figure it out.

I am in love with this item! I didn't come with direction, but there was honestly no need to include them. Installation time was about 5 minutes, and required common size allen wrenches.(which anyone with a bike would easily have available in their toolbox)

The bike stays sturdy, and the leg is easy to kick up when you're ready to go. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a rear mounted stand.

The Greenfield kickstand is very sturdy and well made. The kickstand was easy to install and was the 285mm was the perfect size for my 54" men's road bike, without having to trim the length. If my bike were any taller, I would order the longer Greenfield SKS2-305B 305mm Stablizer Rear Stay-Mount Black aluminum for more flexibility on adjusting the lean angle. The spring lifts the stand out of the way easily when the stand is tilted backwards. I occasionally place 15-20 pounds of items on my rear rack when grocery shopping and the kickstand remains stable. Be careful if you carry any added load on the front of your bike (more than a couple pounds) as it can cause the front wheel to tilt sideways and imbalance the rear, which can cause the kickstand to engage and lift out of the way, causing the bike to fall. A two-leg kickstand would be a better option if you routinely carry a load on the front.

Bought one for my first now I bought one for my new bike. The stand is first class excellent fit an finish and it works perfect. Will buy another on as soon as I get another bike.

On my 26" bike the stand is a good length. There were no installation instructions but it is easy enough to figure out. It swings open and closed easily and stays out of way when closed. The material is solid, quality aluminum. My only negative on this product is that it closes a little too easily. I us it on a motorized bike. The first day using it I had it on a slight forward decline and left it with the motor running to warm up. After about ten seconds I heard a crash and saw that the bake had fallen over. The incline combined with the vibrating motor caused the kickstand to close. Now when on a hill I make sure that the decline will cause the bike to roll backwards. This keeps the stand open and there have been no more problems. A locking latch for the stand would be even better.

I've been looking for a kickstand that will mount to my Giant Defy Advanced carbon fiber road bike and this one worked perfect.

Purchased this item based on prior reviews, even though they stated there are no instructions included with the item. Received item promptly, open the package and, sure enough, there were no instructions. Honestly, it would have been nice if there had been some which is the reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars. However, that being said, after about 10 minutes of trying this and that, the solution occurred to me like a light going off. At that point, it took about 5 minutes to put the item on and it has functioned perfectly since. Do not let the lack of instructions deter you from buying this. You'll be able to figure it out as well.
